I don't know/not sure/if God wills.

I was drawn to Christ about 10 yrs ago. While I was still a long haul truck driver, I was caught in a freak snowstorm in NE so I pulled into a Bosselman's Truck Stop in Grand Island which just happened to have a chapel. It was after hours, but I got another load through there 2 weeks later and was able to spend a couple of hours speaking with the chaplain and his wife who just happened to be reformed :) God works in wonderful ways. God continues to teach and guide me and I would say that I am continuing to grow in Christ as I learn more about Him through scripture reading and sound biblical teaching.

I am more in awe of God than ever. It has given me a deeper love for Him and made me eternally grateful for His mercy in my life. I trust God more knowing that He is in total control always and that everything that happens will work out for good and to His glory.

I usually spend some quiet time early in the morning. I enjoy reading the scriptures at that time and spending time in prayer. I am currently going through the Psalms and the book of Joshua. At the women's prison, we are going through the book of John so I spend time in that as well during the week, and when I have extra time,I enjoy reading John Piper, R. C. Sproul and other reformed authors.

There are several wonderful people in the Bible that it is hard to choose a favorite, but I'd have to say David, because he was so close to God and yet he stumbled in a big way as well. Life is not always spent on the mountain tops but all too often in the valleys as well. David models for me the importance of trusting God all the much more especially during those times when I don't sense His presence. The kind of faith David had is the kind of faith I want and strive for.

I am ok being single because I know that if it is God's will for my life, He will bless me in so many other ways. However, I do still sometimes wish for a special someone I can share my faith and heart with.

They have told me that I am generous and caring. And I think if they are being honest, they would also say that I can be stubborn and strong-willed. Those are attributes that God has been helping me with in those situations where they aren't the best to have.

I am very passionate about sound biblical teaching and am heart sick at the distortions of the Bible and of God that are so prevalent in our culture today. I wish everyone could see the God of the Bible instead of the god everyone portrays. For so many years, I was led astray by all the false teaching out there and it makes me sad to see the large numbers of people who are also being deceived. I also have a passion to help other women who are going through some of the things I went through before coming to know Christ.

My salvation first of all, since I know it didn't come from me and so was the most wonderful gift I've ever received, the church God led me to and the church family I have gained there.

I love meeting new people, but I also love my quiet times at home. I love learning about God and enjoy being around people who are also enthusiastic about Him and learning more about Him. I also like people who are easy going, light-hearted and enjoy God's creations here on Earth like sunrises and sunsets, the mountains and the coastlands, and everything in between. And since I am involved in women's prison ministry, I enjoy meeting other people who are in ministry or interested.

There are 2 women: the wife of the chaplain in Grand Island, NE (who I still stay in touch with even though I am no longer driving over-the-road) and a lady in my church who took me under her wing when I first joined. They have both been very helpful in my christian growth and have been there for me whenever I've had questions.

My previous relationships were before I became a christian so the relationships had the wrong foundation to start with and neither of us could fill the void in the other's life that only Jesus could fill. These relationships served to show me my rebellion against God and drew me to Him as I came to the realization that my way only brought sorrow and pain in my life. Since surrendering to Him, He has helped me see just how important it is to have Christ at the center of any relationship and to keep Him central at all times.

A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray. Isaiah 35:8 (NKJV) I like the last line because it promises that God will keep me from going astray no matter how foolish I am at times (which seems to be a lot of times.) My favorite hymns are "How Great Thou Art" and "It is Well with My Soul"

For five years I drove over-the-road mostly in the 11 western states but sometimes back east as well. About 7 years ago, I was able to get a local driving position and enjoyed it very much. In God's providence, I am no longer driving truck but have gone back to school to earn an associates of applied science and am looking at getting a bachelors degree as well.

My life long goal would be to continue to grow in Christ and to seek His will for my life. My ultimate goal would be to use some of my own life experiences to help others and to bring the hope of the gospel to those who are lost. And at the end of life, to come into His presence and hear "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I enjoy working in my yard during the cooler morning hours and spending time with my family on the weekends. If there is opportunity, I enjoy camping, fishing or drives into the surrounding mountains.

On the coast

I was born in San Francisco and have lived in Calif, Ore, and Idaho. I have lived in Idaho this second time around since 1994.

I have 2 brothers and a sister who all live here in this area with their spouses and children. My parents who are divorced also live here. None of them are christians, but I continue to pray for them all. We are all very close and enjoy any excuse for a family get together. I also have 3 nephews and 3 nieces who all love their aunt. It would be difficult to leave this area and my family, but if I felt God's leading in that direction, I would be open to it.
