Some of my interests include theology, history, traveling, cooking, Psalm-singing, photography, and reading. I especially enjoy reading many of the 16-17th century Puritans. There is such a spiritual richness to be found in their writings! Some of my favorites to read are: Charles Spurgeon, Thomas Watson, John Flavel, Thomas Brooks, Jeremiah Burroughs, Matthew Henry, J.C. Ryle, and Samuel Rutherford among many, many others! :)

I would like to have children one day.

I became a believer about 12 years ago, while I was in college. The Lord brought many people in my life that faithfully shared the gospel with me. He used many things to draw me to Himself, and it was after reading His Word that I became convicted of my sin and my need for Him. I know what it is like to live apart from God, so I'm very grateful for the work that He has done in my life!

Since then, I have been growing steadily but I would say that these last few years is when I've grown particularly closest to the Lord! I think it has a lot to do with my church and the spiritual teaching there. I've learned a tremendous deal not only about theology and doctrine, but more importantly about the heart and the inner workings of the heart. It's one thing to know Scripture mentally, but it's another to allow it to change you inwardly. For that reason, I'm very thankful for the experiential preaching at my church, and the rich teaching that I've received there!

The doctrines of grace have been such an incredible part of my faith! They have given me a better understanding of both the character and power of God. There is nothing that I can do to merit the favor of God, nor is there anything I could do to lose it! The Lord is the one that begins that work in us and He is the one that completes it!

I often think of this verse in Philippians; "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." -Phil 1:6

Yes, I try to set aside time daily for private worship, where I read a portion of Scripture, pray, and sing. Right now, I am reading through 1 Samuel in the mornings and the book of Psalms in the evenings.

I also try to listen to sermons throughout the week, and read various Puritan works. Some of my favorite preachers are Sinclair Ferguson, Joel Beeke, David Murray, and Robert McCurley (my Pastor).

There are so many people in Scripture that I admire for a varitey of reasons. I think if there is one person that I most identify with, it would be Ruth. There is something about her story that really resonates with me. In a lot of ways, I left my own people and everything that I knew to follow after God. I love seeing her faithfulness and devotion to Naomi, and how they lost everything and yet the Lord provided for them. We are all as widows forsaken and alone in this world and yet the Lord comes as our Kinsman Redeemer and saves us! I love that picture of the Lord that we see in the book of Ruth and His faithfulness to us!

In some ways yes, but in other ways no. I know that this is where God has placed me for now and I trust that He knows what is best for me. I've been able to learn and grow so much during this time. I've also been able to help others in ways that would have been more difficult if I were married. So in that respect, I'm very thankful for this time! But to be honest, I've always desired to be married and have a family. I truly feel called to be a mother and a wife, so I am trying to trust the Lord with this desire.

There are many things that I hope to find in a husband but above all I am looking for someone that could be a spiritual leader. Someone that I can trust to lead our family lovingly and yet faithful to the Word of God! A godly man with integrity, maturity, and a desire to honor the Lord.

I fall short in so many areas but I know that by God's grace, I would be a faithful and loving wife, devoted to my husband. I know that I would respect my husband and follow him in the ways he sees fit. I desire to grow with my husband in the faith and serve the Lord together, as we raise a covenant family.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

"See that your chief study be about the heart, that there God's image may be planted, and his interest advanced, and the interest of the world and flesh subdued, and the love of every sin cast out, and the love of holiness succeed; and that you content not yourselves with seeming to do good in outward acts, when you are bad yourselves, and strangers to the great internal duties. The first and great work of a Christian is about his heart." - Richard Baxter

"If traces of Christ's love-artistry be upon me, may He work on with His divine brush until the complete image be obtained and I be made a perfect copy of Him, my Master." -Valley of Vision

“The graces of the Christian character must not resemble the rainbow in its transitory beauty, but, on the contrary, must be established, settled, abiding. Seek, O believer, that every good thing you have may be an abiding thing. May your character not be a writing upon the sand, but an inscription upon the rock.” – Charles Spurgeon

I work with children that have disabilites and behavioral problems such as Autism or ADHD. I do developmental therapies and provide care for them in their home. I love working with children and I'm thankful that I can do something that I enjoy every single day! It's very rewarding to know that I'm impacting another person's life and helping them.

I also own my own photography business that I do on the side. I do family portraiture, engagements, weddings, and other special events. Photography is something that I'm very passionate about and I'm glad I can use it to bless others! :)

I love being outdoors......going for long walks, biking, and canoeing. I love taking my camera and going for a walk somewhere to take pictures. I enjoy taking rides throughout the countryside or on mountain roads.

Fellowship is also very important to me, so I try to spend as much time with families from my church. I also enjoy having people over and spending time with friends. I like going to concerts, bookstores, and coffee shops to do some reading! :)

I was born in the midwest and most of my family still lives there. I've traveled throughout most of the country and to parts of Canada, Europe, and Africa. I've been to England, Germany, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Bulgaria, Senegal, and South Africa. I love traveling and visiting new places!

I'm a Reformed Presbyterian and I hold to the original Westminster Standards. Worship is incredibly important to me.....both consistent corporate and family worship, as well as the purity of worship. I also believe in setting apart the whole Lord's Day. I'm hoping to meet someone that is like-minded! If anyone is interested in getting to know me better, please feel free to contact me at: "altogetherlovely AT hotmail. com".

Thank you for looking at my profile and may the Lord direct your steps as you seek a godly spouse!
