The Lord began drawing me at the age of 22 but it wasn't until the age of 29 that He put me in the grip of His grace and convinced me of my need of salvation. It was only then that I desired Christ and His forgiveness. Had it not been for grace teaching my heart to fear, I would've never desired Christ because I loved my sin too much. T'was grace my fears relieved.

I have my moments of weakness.

Apart from law, there is no mercy. I started out thinking it was a decision to be baptized that saved me. The doctrines of grace taught me otherwise and have given me a love for God and His Christ that I didn't have before. Before, I was my own savior. Now, Christ is my Savior.

I admire Ruth for her devotion and humility, Abigail for her spirit of intercession and humility, Hannah for her dependence on the Lord to provide her with a child and her humility, Mary for her submission to God's plan even when she didn't understand how it would eventually be fulfilled and her humility, David for his bravery and faithfulness, and Christ...well, need I really explain why? Last does not always mean the least.

I am content in that I understand this is the purpose of God for me for now. Once I made peace with the sovereignty and providence of God I found peace that I didn't have before not just in this aspect of my life, but in other areas as well and still learning to be at peace with other areas that I have not yet come to terms with regarding the sovereignty of God.

My previous answer was sort of vague so I thought I'd be a little

more specific. After giving it some careful thought, I would have to

say that I am most passionate about the sanctity of marriage and

life. With that being said, it is my heart-felt prayer that gay

marriage will not be legalized in California and that abortion will

one day become illegal.

My leisure time is usually spent in a good book or doing research online. For recreation, I enjoy being out in the sun, even if just sitting at the park. I'm pretty content so I don't need a lot of entertainment.

I was born in the bay area, moved to the Butte / Tehama

county 27 years ago and recently relocated to

Sacramento county where I am seeing the blessings of

the LORD. This is a blessing in answer to a prayer that I

have been praying for many moons (Provs. 13:12)

I haven't had the luxury of traveling as I have spent most

of my life raising children and working (I have not been

a christian all of my life) and if the LORD wills that I

never see outside the USA, that would be fine, though I

would like to be blessed and permitted to see at least one

other country. I really want to see England; to visit the

Metropolitan Tabernacle, see the castles and the Lighted

Bridge (I think that's what it's called?) This desire is not

a priority and I can take it or leave it as it doesn't dictate

my life or my actions i.e. it is not something I am chasing

after. I would be perfectly content at home with a

husband watching the History Channel (:0)

I and my younger brother are the only Christians in my family.

Relocating wouldn't be an issue for me as long as there is a church to attend where the word of the Lord is being preached and taught faithfully. I consider my true family to be those who are of the body of Christ.

Attending church gatherings, conferences and fellowship meetings. Also spending time with my grandchildren as the Lord permits.
