I would like to have children one day.

I was 23 when the Lord first revealed Himself to me in the true gospel.

My Christian walk is one of stumbling, repentance, and forgiveness.

There was once a day when I thought that once I got the hang of this Christianity thing, I'd attain to a state wherein sin was the exception, not the rule. I've since learned that's a Wesleyan view, not a Reformed one. The Doctrines of Grace both challenge me by revealing the depths of my sin and my need for Christ's Spirit and His intercession at the Father's right hand, but also comforts me with the knowledge that it is, indeed, Christ who lives in me, and provides the grace to cover my failures and shortcomings. In other words, the Doctrines of Grace do exactly what they're supposed to, which is drive me to the Throne of Grace.

While I don't have a set "quiet time", I'm trying to work my way through the Old Testament. I'm almost finished with Deuteronomy.

My favorite is an odd one: Samson.

Samson was a man with a high calling, a calling of which he made a complete mockery. Nonetheless, God saw fit to grant him repentence, and to play a signficant part in His plan of redemption. Samson serves as an example of how God is faithful to us even in times when we're faithless.

By God's grace, I can deal with being single. That said, I have a strong desire to be married.

Aside from the gospel, I'm most passionate about the enjoyment of God's creation.

  1. Living long enough to receive Christ (I'll be happy to explain if you ask me)

  2. Living in a nation where I can worship and proclaim Christ with little or no fear of persecution

  3. My Christian brethren, especially those I've been privileged to call friends for many years.

No single person stands out as the most influential, for the simple reason that countless brethren and teachers have made small but signifcant contributions to my understanding of God's word.

I'm a System Administrator and Windows Desktop Support Technician at a credit card processing company. Overall, it's a very positive work environment, and my duties are well-suited to my interests and abilities. On the whole, I enjoy it very much.

I fancy myself a writer, so the one goal that's stuck with me throughout my life is the desire to publish a novel before I die.

In the heart of the city, A cabin in the woods, On the move, In another county, On a space station

I was born in Merced, in the Central Valley of California, and spent the first seven years of my life outside of Yosemite National Park. I grew up in Pittsburgh, where I've lived most of my life. I've been to various places throughout the US, and have also traveled to Canada, Mexico, France, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands.

I'm the eldest of three children. I have two sisters, the elder of whom is married. My parents are still married, as they have been for almost 40 years. To the best of my discernment, I'm the only believer in my immediate family.

I'm in the process of relocating to Texas to take up a new job, so I will probably be staying there for awhile. However, the Lord alone knows where He will have me many years down the road.
