Married via SGS!!!
I first understood what Christ did for me at VBS when I was 7or8 years old. I have been walking with the Lord as long as a feeble mind can remember. Jesus is still molding me into who He made me to be...and I am excited to live for Him as I grow and learn.
God's Grace is the only thing that keeps my head above water. I would be lost without God's saving Grace, Jesus Christ. Living by faith is what I have done since retirement and God's Grace has brought me back to update my profile.
My wife and I enjoy learning through the Table-Talk devotion series....
I would have to say the Apostle Paul. As a Jewish man...he really was chosen by God to bring us Gentiles the Gospel. I need to know more about Paul as my Muslim friend slips & calls Paul an apostate...so there is some deep seeded misunderstanding of Paul from when he first went to Arabia. Of course, Muslims discount his claims of the Gospel. What Paul states in the New Testament is true and sheds light on the problems with what later becomes Islam. This is an ongoing issue that I pray often for. I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal the Word to my high school buddy's heart and mind.
Was there some place that I was suppose to mention that I'm no longer single because of this website? I married the love of my life on 8NOV08. She is a woman that I would have never started talking with if it wasn't for SGS. She paid for 3 months and we started talking her first day...but she says it was all worth it...and we still used SGS at first until she was no longer active.
Caring Kind Honest Determined
I'm most passionate about Loving my new wife - thanks to SGS...and now becoming a dad. She is expecting our first child 23JAN2010.
I'm like all of you and 1)thankful for my family...and also 2)in awe of what Jesus did for you and me on the Cross...and 3) technology that when used properly makes all this happen instantly
Lisa is so full of life I can't help but smile. She is Trustworthy...and does not play games.
I don't feel like answering this at this time because there are so many people in my life that have helped me along the way. However, I am just now getting around to updateing everything; so perhaps everyone that has written on their profile has positively influenced me. Thanks Ya'll...I think I "get" the point of this site now.
Why answer this one? I guess distance and new vocations hurt my last relationship the most. I am very cautious about putting too much into my relationships now...for I was hurt. I sometimes feel like I have not learned anything...Now I'm giving this relationship idea another try.

MY LIFE VERSE: Proverbs 3:5,6 I still like this one: The custom of sinning takes away the sense of it, the course of the world takes away the shame of it ~John Owen

Here's what I put on thefacebook.com... I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, to discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and to be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion. ~Thoreau I can't say that the Thoreau quote is my favorite of all time...but it is at least worth a relook for those of you interested.

I work for the government.
I hope to have a family and become a great dad. I learned from the best dad a kid could want. I learned exactly what it means to keep Christ central in your life and in your family.
I was born in Kearney, Nebraska...my whole family is from the St. Louis area. (Go Cards!) My father's first church was in Kearney, NE...but then when I was 8 years old we moved to Tennessee. I loved growing up in East TN... My father now pastors in Maryland near Annapolis. I like the area...and the weather has been awesome...just no "White Christmas." My travels are not really all that important. Let us just say that I have been blessed while in High School and while at West Point. I am always curious what others write as to a worthy place to have traveled. I would like to see more of the United States.
Since I am now living in Navy country, I have to say: GO Army! Beat Navy!
