Another Member and I ( Regenerated) married on June 3rd, 2006. She is heaven sent! I praise the Lord for bringing her to me :)
I was 25 years old when God snatched me from my worst enemy: ME! After reading the book " Don't waste your life" by John Piper, I feel rejuvenated. I have been reminded of the fact that my main purpose in life is to glorify God in everything I do.
"Nothing will supply the needs, and satisfy the desires of a soul, but water out of this rock Jesus Christ, this fountain opened. The pleasures of sense are puddle-water; spiritual delights are rock water, so pure, so clear, and so refreshing -- rivers of pleasure" (Matthew Henry).
First, it has given me a different perspective on the character of God. Jesus saves....He doesnt provide a way to help us make a decision.....HE came into this world as a baby, was humiliated by the religious folk of the day, crucified on the cross accomplishing the forgivness of His childrens sin and came back to life breaking the back of sin and its power in the life of the believer!!! It has been humbling to know that I did NOTHING to contribute to my salvation.
I am in the book of Ephesians and as always the Book of Psalms. spending more time in Psalm 119.
Paul. He had a great grasp on the flesh, grace and serving Jesus Christ. He was abandoned to God. The life story of Joseph in the O.T points to a sovereign God who was in all the details.
well.....yes and no. I am LEARNING to be content in all circumstances. I have learned a lot in 2 years of being single~ the biggest thing is that Jesus Christ MUST be my greatest passion. It would be wonderful to have a godly woman by my side to help me serve Him together.

Waking up each day and seeking first the kingdom of God. When my mind is filled with the things of the Lord I am better capable of glorifying Him in all things. I want to be passionate about teaching truth. Using Gods Holy Spirit and logic ( LOGIC???? what is THAT??) I want to see the study of God (theology) become rampant. I want to see the "seeker sensitive" and "purpose driven " fads die a quick death. I would love to see people read the entire chapter 6 of John and see that Jesus gave the "seekers" the truth without any watering down of anything.

I am attracted to any woman who walks by the spirit and has those fruits as her qualities. kindness, patience and forgiveness are what stick out in my mind. A woman who doesnt freak out when she breaks a nail. ha
There have actually been several. First, a good friend of mine ( who now lives in Forney, Texas) who introduced the proper definition of grace to me. John Mac Arthur , RC Sproul and a guy named Al Kenitz. A 30 year old pastor who may be the most passionate fellow I have ever met. His greatest words to me: " sin can't make you DO anything"
First, I was not a perfect husband. ( as if I need to note that) I made some mistakes. I have learned from those even although I did my best. I think "converting" to the doctrines of grace was the final death blow to my marriage. we were headed in two different directions. I have been single for 2 years.

My fav songs are "amazing Grace" "and Can it be" Also.... "Agnes deo" by Third Day..I love the way the guys begin slow and build up to this incredibley moving climactic ending. This song really glorifies God!! "In Christ alone " by The Newsboys is a song that lifted me up while I was going through a dark phase of my life.
I own and have operated a new residential paint contracting business since 1993. I enjoy what I am doing as I have been gifted by God to work with my hands. That doesnt mean He hasnt gifted me to use my brain :) There are many aspects of this work that keep the ol' noggin sharp.
As always my main goal is to grow in grace. Another goal is to be completely debt free...I'm on a two year plan to accomplish that. I would like to build my own home with in 3 years.

vacations, camping, fishing, swimming, bikes, walking, shootin' hoops, building stuff in the garage, drives out to the country with no particular place to go.....hey! is that a song? beach in the summer ( The beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Stay until we watch the sun go down :)
