I was 25 when the Lord chose to reveal His son in me. Pretty dramatic conversion. I worshipped pretty much one thing, my professional tennis dream...worshipped myself, really. I was traveling Europe playing, and had begun reading the Scriptures on my own a year prior. The Lord drew me by frustrating my plans, no matter how hard I tried, no matter what I gave up for my dream. I was in a Paris hotel, getting ready for a series of tournaments in Belgium, when I sat down to think. I sat there for an hour or so, and changed my mind. I was on a plane home the next day, a Thursday. I was in church that Sunday, and haven't looked back since! That was 1992. It's amazing to see what He's lead me through. I began almost from the beginning Calvinistic Baptist, by His sheer mercy. I later learned more about Covenant Theology, and what 'Gospel preaching' means Biblically, and found myself where I've been 10 years now.

The Doctrines of Grace are profound. It's almost impossible to read anything in Scripture, and not find one of them useful as a lens through which our vision improves.

Understanding the Doctrines of Grace, though they don't contain the Gospel, helped me to understand the Gospel/Scriptures much more deeply: knowing the depth of my depravity made His salvation all the more glorious, and grew my gratitude. "Perseverence" freed me to love Him without fear! ...

They all remind me of my Saviour in some way, and so are all great, but if I had to pick one who leads the pack, it would be Job. There's a certain "realness" he possesses...I don't know, makes me feel like I know him. My favorite scripture is the Bible is his declaring that one day he shall see his redeemer stand on the earth. There are too many reasons to list why else I like him, but I think it's because the extreme situation he lives through brings out his true nature, maybe exposing more humanity than other characters.
I'm not gonna lie. That's why I'm on this site! Being single is not for me...unless God says so Laughing

I didn't ask my friends, but, guessing, I think they'd say I'm the perverbial "nice guy": Polite, always in a good mood, accommodating, funny...I don't know. Laughing

Right now, I'm concentrating on Covenant Theology, and how it relates to the Gospel and Baptism. It's a review of 10 years ago. Things I've studied the last 10 years are deepening my understanding even more this time around.
Aside from Christ, as revealed in the Gospel, I'd say my family, especially my kids/parents; also my church, and my health.
I was blessed with a wise, Calvinistic teacher/mentor just months into my conversion. He communicated the foundations of my faith, and filled in alot of places my great, but unbelieving earthly father couldn't. I was 25, great timing.
She was Evangelical, but not Reformed. Her lack of any knowledge left us with little in common spiritually. That's over 5 months ago. I don't date very often, and am resisting pursung Evangelical women. I value the truth too much to compromise Christ's glory, and His honoring, which I believe Reformed worship reveals.

Anything from Tombstone (Kurt Russel/Val Kilmer version, not the Kevin Costner version Sealed). Otherwise, there are too many to list.

I run a small manufacturing company - computer kiosks. 13 years. I enjoy it, and it allows me flexible hours, and to work from home!

Bullet points:

- to remarry

- see my parents/brother come to faith

- stay healthy

- cooking school

- grow some of my own food

- start a neighborhood bible study for the aged

- see American Evangelicalism return to the 'Protest'

- maybe get back into teaching at church

I spend alot of time with my 2 children (9 & 11), whom I have 50% of the time. They are a constant joy. I am addicted to Salsa dancing - so fun, good workout! I'm an avid golfer (3x/month). I play tennis once/week. I enjoy walking down by the beach, beautiful views here.
On the coast
I was born in the former Yugoslavia (Serbia). I was a baby when we left for Toronto, and soon after, California. My family went back every 2 years, till I was 16, plus traveled throughout Europe Southern and Western Europe. I've traveled through Mexico, and again Europe (6 months) on my own. I lived in Japan for 1 year. I speak Serbian, French, and Japanese.
Relocating far from my children doesn't seem possible. I need them, and they need myself and their mother equally. I live in Newport Beach, CA., so maybe closeby. Relocating would need to involve their mother wanting to also (to the same place).
