I was about 3 years old when I was drawn to Christ (I've expounded a bit more in the next answer).I know I'm justified, and in terms of sanctifcation, I am still growing daily in grace and truth. One thing I've been focused on in recent weeks is giving thanks in all circumstances. And, yes, there are days when I really don't want to do this but its all part of learning obedience and trust.
I grew up in an Arminian church and didn't know anything about the reformed faith and the doctrines of grace until I was a teenager. Doug Phillips really introduced us to the Reformed faith...from there, I began to understand that taking every thought captive to Christ requires a biblical perspective in every area of life- there isn't any subject that is neutral! I have learned to trust in the sovereignty of God. I'm still processing and learning more about the doctrines of grace. They have opened my eyes to the fact that I was dead in my sin and made me thankful that the Lord saved me!
Yes, currently, I am in a journey group from church and we are studying a series on prayer.
Daniel-he was unwavering in his conviction to stand for truth no matter what the cost.
I definately do want to be a wife and mother. Yet, I'm content in knowing that this is the circumstance that God has me in right now and I am content with who I am without being in a relationship. I am willing to wait for the right guy-one who loves God with all his heart, soul and strength and is willing to lead and protect his family.
I'll have to ask my friends-I would say thoughtful, fun, out-going and a heart for God.
Relationships! With Christ, my family and friends. I'm definately a social person!
My salvation, my family/friends, my health.
A strong leader, a sense of humor, a heart for God, a biblical worldview, integrity in thought and actions, fun, friendly, loving and thoughtful.
One of my psychology professors at ORU. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that this guy is secretly reformed (ORU is definatley not!) I learned so much from him about relationships, marriage and family, and practical Christianity. As, I mentioned above, Doug Phillips has also influenced a lot of my worldview.
Lots-will write more about this later!
Physical therapy/massage. I have wanted to be a massage therapist since I was 10 years old so I went to MT school before I attended college. I have been working in the field for 4 years and really enjoy helping people recover from sports injuries, accidents and chronic pain.
I would like to support my future husband's vision and raise children for the glory of God. My family works with orphans and I would like to help orphans and possibly adopt older orphans who need a family.
Spending time with friends and family, rock climbing, watching football, boating, travel, music.
I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and have lived in New England and Chicago as well. I have traveled to many places within the United States and to the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Austria, Israel, Egypt, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany and to Moldova on a mission trip to an orphanage.
I am very close to my parents and my 3 younger siblings (the youngest is 4!). I love living in Tulsa, but am open the God's will regarding living somewhere else.
