The Holy Spirit has been at work in me since I can remember. I first professed faith when I was seven, but it wasn't until around Christmas of 2008 that I came to understand that Jesus died to save me, because I was a sinner bound for hell. I have grown much in this last year and a half, and I've been challenged and blessed since. |
|
As a child I only knew hell was a bad place and if I didn't say I loved Jesus I would end up there one day... upon learning the doctrines of grace, I've come to a better understanding of the true gospel, and now I can look forward to spending eternity with my Savior! |

Currently I am reading The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace, as well as reading through the old testament. Our family devotions currently come from Hebrews. |

I'm a big fan of Joseph. He was constantly reliant on God and even after being sold by his own brothers into slavery, being thrown in jail for a crime he didn't commit, etc., he still shows great compassion for those who've hurt him, and understands God meant that evil for good!
I'm also a pretty big fan of David... he was after all, a man after God's own heart. In some senses it's even encouraging to know that no one is perfect, even great men fail, but as long as we trust in the Lord, we shall be saved. |
|
Well at this point I can certainly say I wouldn't be! I tried to be the first time I signed up on SGS, but if I had been entirely content with being single, I wouldn't have signed up. At this point, I'm happy to say that God hasn't called me to be single anymore! My husband and I "met" on this website in November of 2009, and were married June 26, 2010!! :D |

Friendly, compassionate, quiet/shy (at first), and probably energetic. |

family, children, trying to be a "light" in a dim city |

The written Word. We are blessed to be able to still read it in broad daylight, public even, unlike so many of our brothers and sisters in foreign countries... though this freedom may not last long.
Salvation in Christ.
My wonderful, Godly husband. God has blessed me more than I deserve! |

My former pastor, Andy Webb, and his wife, as well as the associate pastor, Irfon Hughes and his wife. It was under their teaching that I came to know Christ as my savior. After meeting my husband via this website, our fears of meeting one another in person were dimmed by the fact that both of these men were mutual contacts. Also my older sister and her husband... she prayed so very diligently for me, and encouraged my walk with Christ as it began. |
|
My favorite hymn at current is "What a Friend We Have in Jesus!" It often brings to mind that I'm never alone, and that every single concern I have, I can bring to Christ. There are many days I feel very far away from friends and family, and this hymn is a quick reminder that the very best friend is never farther than a prayer :) |

I have been blessed to stay at home since my husband and I got married. Currently, I do the normal housework and baby chasing ;). Though too often, my housework gets away from me, but I do enjoy the blessing of being able to care for my husband and children without the added cares of an outside job. |
|
certainly to assist my husband in raising God-fearing children, though we know that it would not be of our own efforts. We pray for these children, that they would be of God's elect and that they would never remember a day that they didn't love Christ.

Since having a baby, I like to spend as much leisure time with my husband as possible! We enjoy watching movies, drinking wine, and catching up on conversations that don't revolve around diapers and messes the baby made ;). |

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and have lived in North Carolina and Ohio. I've traveled over most of the east coast, and in college I visited Hawaii and Antigua. My husband and I would love to visit Hawaii again together someday... |
