I grew up in a Christian home, so there has not been a time when the Gospel was not taught to me. I accepted Christ as my Savior at five but I was ten before I really began to grasp more of what being a Christian meant. By His grace alone, I have never hesitated or doubted the truth of the Gospel. My "conversion" has been slow and steady with no dramatic outward signs. Faithfully He calls me on and because He is within me, I have been faithful to follow. His grace is a daily delight! |

The doctrines of Grace...much can be said (and has been said) on this:)I am forever grateful that God in His abundact mercy and grace chose me and pulled me out of the pit of sin that overwhelmed me. There is nothing I could/can do that would change His love towards me-that is an awesome and comforting thought as well as a serious realization that He is always near. He is Sovereign and everlastingly good! My life is what it is because of His grace-it has become my solid foundation. Where else could I go? Where else could I stand unshaken and firm in this world except on Him? |

Yes, daily although the time chamges; sometimes I read at night and sometimes early in the morning( often both). I'm currently reading through the Old Testement and Psalms. . |
I have more than one favorite ;) To list them is impossible! Besides the obvious first being Jesus, I also admire Mary, Jesus' mother, because of her evident trust in God. Andrew, becaue of his role as Peter's brother and his support of others. David, because of the Psalms and his complete honesty and faith in God even in the darkest times of his life. |

Am I "content" being single? In all honesty; no. I was created to be a help-meet and support to a godly man. Since I am not currently doing so, I am not truly content in the full sense of that word. I want to be a stay home mom and supportive and encouraging wife who willingly submits to her husbands leading as he follows God. I also want to home-school and believe this is a better way of raising children in the grace of the Lord (and a much better education!). I know this seems rather weird and old fashioned now days but that's the truth;) |
I'm not sure; you would have to ask them to get their thoughts:) Probably among their comments you would hear that I am caring, loyal, tenacious, honest, and fun. |
Learning to see and know God in and through the world He has so wonderfully created (though fallen as it is now!) and then sharing those insights with others. |
Only three? There is so much I'm thankful for! God's grace and love that is displayed in His Son, His Word that gives life, God's many daily blessings to me, my family and so much more. |

Characteristics in othere that I enjoy: good conversation but someone also able to sit and read, caring and gentle, good sense of humor, deep thinker, wide variety of interests, honesty and loyalty. I would describe myself as being mostly flexible. I love the role of supporter, and get pleasure out of promoting others' dreams or activities (I have my own but those often get sidetracked). I can handle (and prefer!) behind the scene details and supporting roles rather than the center stage. I enjoy communicating, and tend to initiate dialogue when I have something specific to say, but normally I take the position of an active listener. I am more of an introvert and am slow to warm up to people. However, once trusted, I am loyal (almost to a fault). I enjoy board games, cards, puzzles over movies. I love doing things with people but also like some quite down time for reading and thinking. What can I say? Being from a large family has been a blessing in that I am pretty easy going in most things:) |
I cannot think of just one person-there have been so many that have influenced me in different ways. My parensts for living the Gospel everyday in front of me growing up and always encouraging me in the Truth now. Probably my siblings, my sisters particularly as they have encouraged me in godliness. John Piper, C. S. Lewis, George MacDonald, and George Herbert also come to mind as authors who have had an impact on my thinking and life. Joni Tada and Corrie ten Boom amoung others. |
Dare I say this? I have not dated nor been in a serious relationship...yet. Many reasons factors into this but mainly, I've had relationships with whole families or in group settings. I have been closely involved with some of my siblings' getting married (four so far; my brothers keep marrying my friends!). I have learned a lot from my parents (married 37 years and counting) and my now married siblings. |

To My Lord And Master by George MacDonald Imagination cannot rise above thee;Near and afar I see thee, and I love thee;My misery away from me I thrust it,For thy perfection I behold, and trust it.

I am currently a substitute teacher in an elementary school. I am a certified science teacher for junior high and high school. I enjoy teaching kids about the wonders of God's world and have not limited this to a single setting but do it anywhere God gives me opportunity. |
I have many goals and dreams for the future but the long term one would be to get married ;) Have kids and teach them the joys of living all their lives for God. Support others and encourage them in the way of Truth. |
Reading, anything science related (I thoroughly enjoy researching the wonders of God's world!), gardening, hanging out with my family (all my nieces and nephews are delightful!). Cooking and baking. Knitting and cross stitching as time allows. |

I was born in Chapel Hill and lived in Durham until I was 9. Then moved out to Wake Forest and have been in this area since. What can I say? I'm a Tar Heel born and bred:) I visited Alaska ( my brother-in-law lived there growing up) and had an awesome time fishing on the Kenii River (caught King Salmon and trout). I would definately go back but living there in the winter may take some more thought...anything below zero is seriously cold! I have visited Guatemala and taught briefly at a children's home there. I would love to go back! Traveling is a lot of fun and I hope to do more in the future- going to England would be really cool:) |

I was born 27 years ago in Chapel Hill, and I’ve lived in NC ever since:) I'm the oldest of a set of quadruplets (two brothers and a sister)and have three older brothers, three younger brothers and a younger sister. I find my parents marriage of 37 years to be inspirational, but also attainable, through God’s help and grace. I have five married siblings, and currently a total of 15 nieces and nephews. My family is close both geographically and relationally, and I completely enjoy my "favorite aunt" status:) I love teaching my nieces and nephews about the wonders and beauty found in God’s world and pointing them to the Creator of such marvelous things. I would consider relocating under certain circumstances...it would be hard because I am close to my family but totally possible because our relationships are strong enough to handle distance if that became necessary. |
I enjoy cross-stitching and knitting. I love taking long walks in the woods and hiking. My all-time favorite is gardening-I get by in the winter by propagating various flowers and plants! Cultivating plants is a lot of fun-there is such much beauty in creation that we all to often miss in our busy lives =) I also enjoy teaching and anything science related, particularly, biology and genetics. |

I am a member of Sovereign Grace Church of Apex, which is loosely affiliated with Sovereign Grace Ministries based out of Maryland and led by C.J. Mahaney. It is reformed in theology with charismatic expressions in worship. I love it! I became a believer, by God’s grace, at a young age and have been blessed with a slow, but steady, growth ever since. I suppose one of the greatest areas God has taught me is through my physical limitations. I was born with some eye problems and had a few surgeries at a young age. I was blessed to have one of the best surgeons in the nation as the lead surgeon, and he was able to correct some of the physical/structural difficulties I was born with. While still daily challenging, I have learned patience and steadfastness and a deep trust in God despite any circumstances. I find that daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, teaching, ect) I can do with ease, but driving will always be off-limits for me. While at times challenging, I would not trade my eyes with anyone because through them, I have learned aspects of God's character I would never have learned without them. I don’t always think to explain my eyes since it’s so normal and natural to me, but I’m always eager to answer any questions and am not at all offended by them. I would rather have people ask then just get a odd stare:) |
