I like to day trip to nearby attractions. I love to visit Toronto and visit the museums, eat at ethnic restaurants.

I love to worship God at church or out in the fields and forests of my farm.

Single- Never Married

I would like to have children one day.

I was drawn to Christ when I was 8 years old at a Vacation Bible School where a young Bible teacher taught me that Jesus Christ died for my sins and asked us to see her and pray with her at the end of class. I said the Sinner's Prayer with her.

I struggled with my faith in my teenage years and actually feared I would lose my salvation. I belonged to an Arminian denomination at the time. When I was 18 I was baptised and became a member of a Presbyterian Church. At the same time I was reading Lucy Maude Montgomery novels and she mentioned in one of her non-Anne of Green Gables novels the doctrine of predestination. I became convinced of this doctrine and became awestruck that God chose me for salvation and service at the beginning of time before I was even born.

I learned more about predestination in my final years of university and to this very day I have a strong walk with God. I still have had ups and downs in my faith journey, but I have remained faithful and God has shown me what he was doing in the difficult times and the good times. SDG

Before I learned about the Doctrines of Grace I feared that I would lose my salvation. Since learning about TULIP in my early twenties I rejoiced to know that once one is saved he or she is forever saved. I was humbled when I learned that I was predestined to salvation and vocation long before I was born. That has changed my life in that I learned not to worry about losing my salvation and work on serving God with heart, soul, and mind. SDG

Every morning I read Morning And Evening by C.H. Spurgeon, along with Today, my Bible, and Ancient-Christian Devotional edited by Thomas Oden.

At night I have been reading a chapter from a 2 volume biography on George Whitefield and John Bunyan's The Holy War. The last book has been convincing me to be ready for spiritual warfare.

My favourite Bible character would be the Apostle Paul. I admire how he went through so much persecution and yet he would never let it get him down he would continue to preach Christ and him Crucified. And that's the kind of preacher/pastor I want to be.
I have reflected on this for a long time. I learned that I need to be content with my singleness before entering into courtship and marriage. If I am not content in it then I will never be content in a relationship. The other danger is that I will seek to find confidence in the other person and that is too big a burden for her to carry my confidence and hers. I believe confidence with myself and my relationship needs to preclude any relationship. So yes I am content being single because it is building and maintaining the confidence I have with God and with myself and it is preparing me for my future wife.

My greatest passion is to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and to make him known to my congregants, my co-workers, my family, and my friends.

I am thankful God has made me a versatile man in my vocation as a lay preacher and a factory worker.

I am thankful for my salvation in Jesus Christ.

I am thankful for my parents and their 39 years of marriage and the two younger brothers they have blessed me with.

I enjoy a good listener. Someone who is thankful and content in all things and tries not to complain. Or is hopeful and cynical about the world, especially since we are called to look forward to Christ's Return. I enjoy the company of all people from kings to commoners.

My personality traits are a hard worker, a good listener, a passionate preacher of God's Word, empathic, hopeful, caring, and generous and cheerful giver.

Miss Jean Swalm and my Sunday School Teachers. They taught me all the Bible stories. They told me about Jesus Christ and how he died for my sins and rose again for my salvation. They led me to Jesus Christ.

My mentor John Hamilton who has taught me the things they never can teach you about pastoral ministry in seminary.

Never find your confidence in the other half of a relationship, ask God to give it to you and then bring it into the relationship.

All the world is a stage and we are it's players...some play many parts - Shakespeare.

I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:38-39.

I currently work two vocations. One is a factory worker where I work in several departments as a floater. Currently I work in the vinegar filtration department preparing vinegar for bottling and bulk orders. I find it fascinating and challenging.

I am a recent graduate of Knox College, Toronto. I received my MDiv and my MRE. I am now a candidate for ministry awaiting certification for ordination so I can seek a church and be ordained.

Until that time comes I have been filling in at vacant churches and for vacationing ministers.

My lifelong goal is to become a Presbyterian minister of Word and Sacrament and pastor a country church or a small town church.

I also want to become a loving husband and father.

I usually spend the Sabbath afternoon reading non-fiction or watching movies. When the weather is nice I go for long walks with my black lab Abbie. I like hanging around with my two brothers. I like to go to ethnic restaurants in the city of Toronto. I love to play board games such as Trouble and Risk.

I like to watch Dr. Who, House, The Royal, Heartbeat, Doc Martin, and documentaries.

In a small town, A farm/cottage in the county, In another county

I was born in Orangeville, Ontario and raised in the village of Singhampton. I have studied at the University of Toronto in Mississauga. I have been to Wales on a third year undergrad exchange and got to visit South Wales, England, and Scotland.

Recently I went to Cancun, Mexico to stand up at my brother's wedding.

I would like to visit Scotland again, Ireland, Israel

My parents have been married for 38 years. I am the oldest of three boys. My younger brother Dan is recently married and my youngest brother is engaged.

I am open to relocating because as a pastor I need to be always open and always ready to relocate. We are according to 1 Peter 2:11 'aliens and strangers.' just passing through until we get to the promised land of Heaven.
