18. I was ever so lonely when I graduated from high school. My sister in law took me to a Colleer (College / Career) meeting at her church to meet people my age. Well everyone was 6 or more years older than me and to a teenager that is old, but they were fun so I kept going back. I went back for the people, God graciously met me and kept me.

My walk is consistant now. When I finally gave my life over to Him which for me took forever, Life became sweeter and more joyful. I have daily time with the Lord and see him throughout the day in all areas of my life.

I was amazed at the doctrine of Grace. I believed it before it was ever defined for me. I thought it was what everyone believed.

Isaiah 45: 5-7

5 I am the LORD, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting
That there is none besides Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other;
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the LORD, do all these things.

Our God is in control of all things.

I am reading through the Bible. My husband and I use Oswald Chamber's "My Utmost for his highest" daily. Oswald must be reformed. He has been a great encouragement to us. Some days the Lord has ordained specific words that just meet our need.

David! I do not have a squeaky clean past. Neither did David, but God loved him, he was a man after God's own heart.

No, God has blessed me with a wonderful husband. I was always a follower with no one to lead me. I waited 48 years to find him. God had to make me ready. My husband was widowed. I am reaping the benifits of his first wife.

My walk with God. I may not be a Spiritual Giant, but my walk with God is what kept me going through all the hard times of life.

My Lord

My Husband

My Children

I found in my husband, more patience than I could ever ask for. I grew up with a father who blew up over every thing. To have a man who will calmly talk things out with me and his children. A man who trusts God, for his day to day existance. Living by Faith not ones own energies. Open-ness Honesty. Open to adventure, subtle adventure, or just going for a walk. Open to sharing his hopes and dreams, as well as concerns. compassionate. Caring for others and not afraid to show emotion.

My traits are about the same, I have a wicked temper, only with those I love, and lack of patience. I have been blessed with being able to stay home, and separate from the world. It is real hard to separate from the pack of catty women I worked with. I did stand out as a Christian, but when the claws came out I had moments when I was just like the world.

Wow how do you choose one out of 30 years of walking with the Lord. I guess Pastor Bruce. I have known him over 30 years. Saturday night bible study, Then he was assistant pastor at our church and then the church split, and for lack of a better idea I went with the split. A Church started up in his home, That disolved over theology and when a new church was speckulated and they went looking for a building an OPC group was looking at the same building and they needed a pastor.

How has he influenced me? By his consistancy, no matter the circumstance. He and his wife are amazing. He has councelled me. Yes I battled depression. I was in my 40's and single with no end in sight. Oh and add to that I got mixed up with the wrong guy in my mid 20's and was a single mother of twin boys. I beat myself up a lot about that.

N/A I have been married for over a year. I feel as though I have known him forever. Everyone prior to this don't count. Moving to another state it felt like home. (Of course there were quite a few adjustments, my kids, his kids, even though they are all grown.)
I was a bank teller. I loved / hated it. I loved being a teller doing my job, but I hate sales and banking has turned into sales. "You know you could earn more interest if you move you money from a savings account to a CD, or would you like to talk to someone in our investment center?" Argh! I had some wonderful customers, some elderly and I miss it, but I don't miss the stress of making a quota of referrals.
To Glorify God and enjoy him forever!
I quilt. come summer I will be back in the garden. I do a lot of dishes and cleaning too.
A cabin in the woods
