What do I think are the best things in life?

Worship: both in family and community setting.

Spending time with loved ones, other believers, and studying the whole Bible from various perspectives. I am a Reformed, 5-point Calvinist. That said, I am willing to learn from other Christians. No church is flawless: only Christ is, and the day is coming when HE WILL UNIFY HIS CHURCH. I was raised in the OPC & PCA. I love the Reformed Presbyterian church, but I long for the future unity of the Church even more!

Studying my cultural heritage. My grandparents are from 4 different countries: Lebanon, Egypt, China, and Brazil. All of my grandparents are Christians.

Languages. I am foreign language nut, and would like to learn another language with my husband someday....one that is new to both of us! I'm pursuing a master's in French & Spanish, and I also speak Arabic, since my dad is Lebanese, and enough Portuguese to carry on "secret conversations" with mum. I love languages but have by no means reached perfection in any language - not even in my native tongue - that's why I'm still studying!

Dancing of all sorts: ballet, salsa, tango, ballroom, samba, Lebanese folk dance, belly dance....

Piano-playing.

Home-related activities: sewing, knitting, homemaking.....

Harvesting, cooking, and eating fresh produce, especially if it's from dad's garden. I favor clean air, open spaces, and quiet countryside.

Outdoor excursions: hiking and biking and swimming in the ocean - or in the Mediterranean sea!

Reading and writing. Especially poetry. I grew up without watching TV, and I still don't, although I watch movies on occasion.

Doing dishes! (For loved ones.)

Laughing, delighting, splashing.

And obviously,

being swept off my feet by Mr. Wonderful...

if

God

wills!

Single- Never Married
I am a non-smoker
I rarely drink
Bachelor's degree
I would like to have children one day.

I was raised in a Christian home, I have believed from childhood, and I remain under the roof and headship of my father, who is the dearest man in the world to me and my second-to-Christ, until he gives my hand to another man.

I am passionate about the Faith, but I still have much to learn about our glorious Christian religion; and I have much growing (and dying to self) to do on many levels. Think of the T in TULIP. Thankfully, God isn't through with me.

Of myself, I could not even want to come to Him, but inexorably and graciously, He comes after me. Praise for Irresistible Grace!

Knowing God's lovingkindness and absolute sovereignty gives me such freedom and peace - and puts me in my place, lest I boast in anything but Christ.

Yes. My parents read the Bible with us daily, and I also strive to read or listen to the Bible and pray daily on my own. I am currently reading the Old Testament.

Jesus Christ.

||He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For

by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,

whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created

through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold

together.||

Free-spirited, Daddy's girl, theatrical, poetic.....are four things I've been called.

Finding joy in the midst of vanity (Ecclesiastes), living freely, gloriously, fully under the Mercy, under the Trinity...striving to apply my faith & worldview to every area of life.

I am thankful for God, for my lovingly-married parents. . . and, for health (in body and in soul!)

What I hope for in a future husband?

||He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Not so the wicked! || Psalm 1

He will be one who strives to have "all of Christ for all of life."

He will be great, yet kind, humble, and gentle...

I pray our marriage will be a meeting of the minds.....we must be one-minded, same-passioned... in a word, homothumadon.

John Donne, George MacDonald, C. S. Lewis, Wendell Berry, the Apostle Paul. . .

and many other Christian thinkers.

‎||I know that You can do all things,
And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.||

Job 42

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

So keep your hands off, keep your clothes on.....and stay out of bed!
-Elisabeth Elliot, an exhortation to singles

"When another person's happiness becomes more important than your own, that's the right time to get married."

Let us roll all our strength and all
Our sweetness up into one ball. . .
Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run.

-Andrew Marvell

I tutor students needing help in French and Spanish, as well as doing other graduate assistant duties.

My wildest career dream is to become a wife and mother of many children, if God wills. Many children, meaning, as many as God will send - and as many as my future spouse and I can properly handle.

||Children are a gift of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like ARROWS IN THE HAND OF A WARRIOR, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; they will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.||Psalm 127

I hope to homeschool my children. If I do not homeschool them, I would like to be involved in the school they attend. I would rather be a housewife, but if necessary, I would be willing to work outside of the home. When my children are young I hope to dedicate myself to teaching them at home (until about high school, at which point I think it is appropriate for boys, especially, to go to school, if a good school is available.)

I am not worthy or able on my own for this great responsibility, but I pray that He'll enable me to be a loving, submissive, and devoted woman to the man He brings me. In the meantime, whether married or single, I long above all to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, as Ephesians 3:19 says, that I may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

I was born in Philadelphia. I've lived in Kentucky, in Louisiana, briefly in France, and in my father's homeland..... Watan Arz el-Rab, the Country of the Cedars of the Lord... Lebanon! Now I'm back in the States living with my parents.

I have 8 siblings, all boys: 5 younger natural brothers, and 3 older adopted brothers. My mother homeschooled all 6 of us, her natural children, as well as 1 of the adopted boys. I'm so thankful for all my family. My parents' happy marriage is huge proof to me that love does exist and is possible on earth!

As for relocating, I will follow my husband, but I will not move for a man before he marries me.

Archery, Astronomy/Stargazing, Baking, Biking (road), Biking (off-road), Cooking, Dancing, Dancing, Ballroom, Dancing, Swing, Hiking, Music, Musical Instruments, Needlework, Philosophy, Picnicing, Theatre

When the right fellow comes after me, I am open to and interested in courtship-leading-to-marriage, but of course, there's no stopping OR rushing God's time and will. If, when the right one comes along, I trust that God will turn his heart to mine and mine to his, for....

||The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will.|| Proverbs 21:1

Blessings to all my brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus!
