I was 37 when God saved me. My walk is never what it should be, and won't be till I get home.
They are the grid system though which I view God, man,all events in my life and in the world at large.
I don't have a set quiet time, but I try to read or listen to a sermon or teaching lecture daily, as well as study the Word.
Actually I have three: David for his love of God and contrite spirit; Peter for getting out of the boat; Paul for his fearless proclamation of the Word till death.
I don't know about content...I think contentment is a lifelong learning process, but I've accepted my "single-again-ness"
I've never asked my friends about that, but a co-worker recently remarked, "What I like about you is what you see is what you get". I guess he should have added "for better or worse what you see is what you get" ;)
Being passionate
My salvation, a Godly mother, my daughter, my daughter's salvation, a Godly mentor in the faith. Ok, I know that's 4...so shoot me
Transparency and honesty are the 2 most important things for me. After that I'd say having a firm grasp on what's truly important. I hope I display those same traits.
I would have to say Roger Murray who mentored me in the faith for the first few years of my walk. He's one of the most Godly men I know.
My marriage failed for many reasons, which can all be traced back to the fact that a lost man cannot truly know how to be a husband.
One of my favorite hymns is Great is Thy Faithfulness.
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." Theodore Roosevelt
I've been a residential/commercial painter for 32 years now. I went back to school in 2005 to pursue a nursing degree, but had to withdraw after one semester in the nursing program because of financial difficulties. I've been employed by a commercial painting company based in Franklin, TN since Summer 2009.
Be useful in advancing the Kingdom. In the end that's really all I'll take with me.
I like to do things to expand my horizons. I enjoy playing golf when I have the opportunity.

Born and raised in Elvisville. I've lived in Denton, TX and Lawrenceville, GA. I've been to every state in the South, Michigan, Ohio, and California.
My father died in 1998. I lost my mother in September, 2009 and my sister in November, 2010. I've been divorced since 1993 and my ex-wife died in 2002. I've never remarried. My daughter, who is 22 , is out on her own now and I'll be relocating to middle Tennessee in a few months to stay with the company I'm currently employed with.
