I was six years old when Jesus saved me. I was supposed to be taking a nap, but I began thinking about Jesus. In faith I asked Him into my heart. I have gone through several seasons of life with God, but since I was introduced to Reformed theology in 2006, He has recaptured my heart in a way I never imagined.
God rocked my theology in 2006. He started by reuniting me with my best friend from the Air Force Academy, who was studying at Knox Theological Seminary. We began calling each other every weekend. This friend introduced me to the doctrines of grace. He did it slowly, allowing me to wrestle with the issues on my own. In the spring, I spent an entire week with him, sitting in on his seminary classes. After that week I watched the "Amazing Grace" DVD (by The Apologetics Group) that further solidified in my mind the truth of these doctrines. As I study the Bible now, I continually see confirmation of the Reformed view. This has affected my view of salvation, end times, evangelism, and even apologetics. Most importantly, this study has changed my view of the sovereignty and grace of God in my own life. I worship Him more freely in gratitude for His divine election, atonement, calling, and promise of salvation. When I realize I had no natural inclination to choose Him on my own, that He condescended in grace to bring me into His kingdom, I bow my whole being before Him, and walk in service to Him. It is this more intimate union with the Lord that I also wish to share with others.
I have a quiet time nearly every morning. I usually start with Scripture reading and meditation. Then I move into personal prayer. Sometimes I will continue with a prayer from The Valley of Vision. I usually read through the Bible chapter by chapter during these times. I'm currently in Mark.

I love to learn, communicate and share God’s truth with other people. This tends to manifest itself in theological and apologetics studies. I find this most satisfying with someone who wants to learn about God’s truth.
-God’s grace that allows me to stay the course -The faithful friends in our life -The ability to think
The most important trait to me is the ability and willingness to spend quality time with me to develop depth in our relationship. I am looking for someone who shares my love for learning, and who wants to develop their passion for God and His Truth. Update: I found just the woman who fits this exactly.
My college bible study leader's wife has been like a second mother to me. She showed me in so many ways how God loves me and how he really likes me, too. She showed me who I am in Christ, and how to be free to rest in Him.
-Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. -Romans 8 -Augustine: "Let him also rejoice and prefer to seek thee [Lord], even if he fails to find an answer, rather than to seek an answer and not find thee!" (Confessions, Book I, Ch. 6) -". . . and her yellow hair hung down her back. And when they looked at her they thought they had never before known what beauty meant." C.S. Lewis, Dawn Treader
I am an active duty Air Force officer. I graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1999 with a degree in Biology. My military specialty is in Space and Missile Operations. It's good work, the pay is great, but the job is not my passion.
-Finish my master's degree in apologetics. -Teach theology, philosophy, apologetics to the next generation. -Grow in our marriage and develop a relationship that reflects the reality of Christ and His Bride.
Reading, theological and apologetic study, backpacking, nature photography, listening to classical music, watching movies at home
I was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and grew up there until I went to the Academy. My military assignments have taken me to bases in California, Alaska, Montana, Colorado, and back to Cali.
We want to classically homeschool my children, as we think this affords them the best opportunities to truly learn in a Christian environment.
