Raised Catholic. During my freshman year in college, realized that there had to be more to life than the party atmosphere around me, so I began reading a Bible given to me as a high school graduation gift. Left the Catholic Church. After a brief stint in the Assemblies of God, became Reformed. Right now, it's been a struggle these past few years due to lack of fellowship. Have began attending McLean PCA in Virginia recently.
Either the Lord is truly sovereign over the destinies of men, or everything in life is completely meaningless. Any other attempted anser is really more than a half-hearted compramise which does little to answer the basic questions of life.
Not as regular as I had hoped. One particular issue which has gripped me for a couple of years now is that of Bible translations. I try to read everything I can get on the subject.
I don't know if "favorite" would be the right word. This might sound a bit strange coming form a guy. But one character I've identified with is Hannah. Her desire for a child all those years always reminds me of that Special Someone I've always wished to have in my life, but never did.
Sandy will cure me of that!!!!!

I'm a federal employee. I've had two different jobs with the government since 1988. I've held my current position for little more than six years. I am going through some burn-out right now, and would like to go on to something else.
I have about 10 and a half years until I can retire from the federal government. My ultimate goal then is to pack up my library, move to a nice mid-sized Midwestern town, and spend the rest of my earthly days reading my books.
I have a personal library of over 13,000 (no, that 13,000 is NOT a typo :) ), so I read a grat deal.
Born in Steubenville, Ohio. Went to school/ lived in Springfield, MO, Lincoln, NE, and Denver, CO. Have lived in Northern Virginia near Washington, DC since 1988.
If/when I get a different job, it will be with the federal governemnt. I have too much time in-service, and little more than 10 years until retirement. So it would be financial suicide to go to the private sector right now. However, I don't have much attachment to the Washington, DC area. Financial considerations aside, I could move out of here tomorrow, and it wuldn't bother me a bit.

I should also mention that I am visually impaired. Although I still retain enough vision to read, I have never been able to drive a car.
