I was raised in a Christ-centered, reformed home, and it was at a very young age that I was saved by God's grace. My childhood was all the more precious and wonderful because of this; my parents, both being believers, raised their children to fear the Lord and serve Him with all their might. Now, as I am in school, I look back on my upbringing and praise the Lord for my parents who influenced so much of my walk with my King. The Lord has been gracious to me, and I have sought Him more this year of my life than ever before. He has blessed me with solid, Christian friends, and our accountability with one another has urged me onward in my personal study of the Bible, prayer life, and ministry in my community. |

For as long as I can remember, getting married and having a family were my ideas of a wonderful life. Now, as I as I have become older and understand more of what "God's Sovereignty in ALL things, even the things you wish you could handle yourself!" means (lol) I realize more and more each day that sometimes, the Lord's will is not my will, but ALL the time, His will is what's best for me. I will say, though, that I have prayed every day for my future husband for more than ten years . I have confidence that when he comes along, we'll both know it, and it won't be in my time, but the Lord's. |

Aside from music-composition, performance, study etc...- one thing that I am very passionate about is supporting our military men and women. Essentially, I'm a nerd about reading military history:) Studying the pacific theater of WWII and the jungle warfare of Vietnam are two of the engagements that I enjoy reading the most about. Additionally, special forces (the Green Berets, Navy Seals etc...) as well as search and rescue (Air Force PJs, Navy SAR etc..) are just as interesting to me to read about. Since I am not in the military, I support the most that I can from the homefront, and that is through writing and supporting our deployed (and wounded at Walter Reed MC) service men and women. I've been writing for nearly two years now, and the Lord has not only given me opportunities to share his Word with these young patriots, but also allow me the blessing of getting to know them. I pray for each of "my boys", and am so grateful and proud of what they are doing for our country :) |

I used to have my grandmother listed under this box--and for many reasons, she has been one of the most influential persons in my life. But as of late, and through SGS- I have had the honor of getting to know some very fine people. I can't possibly list each of them by name, or how they have encouraged, uplifted, chided and cared for me--but there is one young lady on this site that has my sincerest affection and highest regard. She is known by many members on this site-both past and present- but has touched my life in more ways than one. As a friend, we have enjoyed expressive, fun and interesting conversations together. As a fellow sister in Christ, she has prayed for me, inspired me, and has shown what it means to have a heart of compassion and forgiveness. But above all else, she has shown me what it means to be a true daughter of the King. I praise my Father in Heaven for the kindred spirit I have found, and pray the Lord continues to cultivate this beautiful flower and allows others to see His beauty reflected through her. |

Ah, where shall I begin? Some of my favorite hymns are "My God, My God O Why Have You Forsaken Me?", "Man of Sorrows", " Tis So Sweet" and "Amazing Grace" , to name but a few :) The poetry I enjoy varies from Shakespearean sonnets (#29 is a favorite!) and "Beowulf" (a favorite) to "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" . I don't read as much poetry as I used to, but only because I lack the time to do so. If I could, I would certainly explore more of the rich poems that history has afforded us. Bookwise, I could list scores of familiar titles, but a few that I particularly enjoy are "Pride and Prejudice", "The Phantom of the Opera", all novels by Louis L'Amour, and many others. As far as quotes go, there are far too many for me to choose from! I will update this section when I can remember the better ones :) |

Right now, I live at home in North Carolina. I work on the farm- be it in the fields on the tractor, with the livestock or in the garden, or in the kitchen baking bread :) My family also has a non-profit thrift store ministry, which also takes up a good deal of my time. Living here in the middle of the forest, I love that I can fall asleep to the the sounds of a train slowly pulling its way out of one small town and into another, and gaze out my window to see a silken moon hung so perfectly upon a velvet sky. Hmm...I do believe I'm putting more information under this question then I ought to put ! :) |

Practicing the piano, writing letters, composing scores, composing silly songs to make my roommates laugh, hunting with my dad and brothers, baking with my sisters, reading, spending time with my grandma, studying history (especially military history and mythology) and others- some very random things too, I assure you :) |

My family means the world to me. I am the second oldest of seven children and each of us siblings are very close. For the past almost nine years, my family has lived in North Carolina. I don't know what the Lord's will is for me, but if I could continue living in the country, I would love that very much :) |

If you would like to talk with me, please don't hesitate to send an e-mail. I try my utmost to respond to every note I get, but sometimes don't get on here for longer periods of time. Right now, I truly am looking for friendship and fellowship-so if your intent is to court a lady, then I pray the Lord's blessing upon you in your search, but ask that you refrain from contacting me. And don't try to change my mind either :P lol BTW, I possess a teasing nature, enjoy deer and wild boar hunting, grew up listening to Def Leppard and Cinderella, and drive a tractor. I am also working on my FF 1 and 2 as well as paramedic school, and there's nothing I love more than hopping on our rescue company and heading out to a wreck. Or a fire. It's not that I want you to get hurt, just let me be there when you do. :P Just a few things you might want to know if you're considering emailing me. ;)
