| I was 17 years old when I became a Christian and after many months in the middle east I would say that my walk with Christ has gotten better and more real. | |
| When I first became a Christian I didn't understand sound doctrine and wouldn't understand what that was until I was in Iraq for the second time when two presbyterian friends helped disciple me and explained the biblical grace that God used to irresistibly call me into his kingdom as he does with his elect and his elect alone. | |
| Yes, I make sure I take time to read my bible and pray every day. I am on a one year bible plan where you read out of the new and old testament everyday. I also try to pray continually throughout the day, a few words here and there. I am currently reading Boy Meets Girl by Joshua Harris. I am also currently reading the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. | |
| Definetly James. When I read that book I always feel convicted on the bad things in my life and the things I am not doing that I am supposed to do. Reading James is like a disciplinary spiritual punch in the face. | |
| Honestly, no! And I don't believe I am supposed to be either. I don't believe I am called to be single. But I also know I must not be hasty, for the Lord has the right person for me. | |
| I would think they would tell you I am funny, possibly even hilarious, giving, loyal, willing to make sacrifices. | |
| My faith...and trying to live it out in every aspect of my life every single day. | |
| My life, that God has granted me safety and deliverance from many situations in the middle east, my faith, family and friends. | |
| I like someone who can laugh, who is gentle and kind, respectful, trusting, faithful, and who fears the Lord. I love to laugh and be humorous, I like people laughing at my jokes and comments (when they are meant to be that is), I'm willing to make sacrifices, I like to help people when I can, I try to glorify God in what I do. | |
| My friends Sean and Steve, my two presbyterian friends I met while in Iraq. God used them to help show me sound doctrine, in other words, 5 point calvinism and reformed theology. | |
| I haven't been in a serious relationship since August 2002. I started dating a girl in High School, then I graduated and joined the army, we were together over a year, she wasn't a christian so that was my first mistake, then we broke up right before I was deployed to Africa. And what I learned from all my mistakes and trials in that was that The Lord's temple has nothing to do with idols and that the type of woman I am supposed to be with is the type set forth in Proverbs 31. Since then I have spent 23 months in the middle east and had little time in the US and have not been around many Christians, so it has been difficult for me to find someone. Now I am in Alaska which isn't necessarily highly reformed populated! | |
| "Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name." Psalm 86:11(ESV) and "There is dust enough on some of your bibles to write 'damnation' with your fingertips!" - C.H. Spurgeon | |
| I am a Chaplain Assistant in the Army, currently stationed in Alaska in Fairbanks. Currently the Post Chaplain NCOIC(Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge). I supervise the other Chaplain Assistants and the operations of both chapels here and our Family Life Center. I love my job, mostly cause I believe it is what my call is...currently. | |
| To be a godly husband and father to the most beautiful woman and children, and maybe to get my Master in Divinity and to be a pastor of a reformed church and to possibly get a Doctorate in Ministry and right a book or two on the fear of God in the Church and the Christian's daily walk. I am not sure if that is my call yet. | |
| I like to play guitar, watch movies, listen to music, most of all, read and talk to family and friends. Baseball if it is the Twins! | |
| Born in Mitchell, SD. Traveled to about have the states, and places like Iraq, Kuwait, Djibouti, Africa, Oman, Bahran, Qutar, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Cyprus, Italy, many just stopping through on the way to a deployment, oh and most important, to Canada to meet the love of my life!!!!!!!! | |
| I was raised in a Christian home by a Baptist and a Presbyterian, funny combination I thought. My parents have been married over 30 years, the Parrish family has served our nation for the last 4 generations. Parrish family legend has it that we were excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 1800's for being Irish Patriots. So I am kind of proud of that! I love my parents a ton. I have one brother who is 5 years older than me and is a methodist pastor who is suprisingly a calvinist too, I don't know how he does it. Relocating? Well, me being in the Army for now and a while longer, relocating is kind of out of the question for me. I guess the real question is how do you feel about relocating!?! | |

| Update: On May 27th, 2006, after talking many hours with Carrie's father, I was granted permission to enter courtship with Carrie! It is so wonderful and I am so excited and madly in love! I am very thankful to my God and Saviour for the blessing that Carrie is to me! Please keep us in your prayers. |
