Music- I enjoy listening to a fairly broad variety of music, including Joan Baez, U2, Switchfoot, Plumb, the Monkees, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael W. Smith, and the Goo Goo Dolls. I've had about 10 years of piano lessons, and a couple years of voice lessons. My voice lends itself towards singing folk songs from the '60s and old English ballads.

Movies- I enjoy lots of movies, like the Bourne Trilogy, the Lord of the Rings movies, the Spider-man series... good things come in threes, don't they? Also "Elizabethtown", "Amazing Grace", "Runaway Bride", "Signs", and I could go on forever! I like really good TV shows, too, like Stargate SG-I, Mash, and NCIS.

Books- I'm not obsessed with reading like some of my family is, but I do enjoy fiction. Favorites include C. S. Lewis' Space Trilogy, To Kill A Mockingbird, and The Four Feathers. For serious reading, I like Doug Wilson books.

Crafts- I have a spinning wheel I've made yarn on, I knit some, and I love sewing clothes. I've also made beaded, wire, and hemp jewelry.

Cooking- I like to make breads, muffins, cheesecakes, pies... I also decorate cakes. I love working in the kitchen!

Dancing- I love my church's barn dances, the occaisional ball, and contra-dancing. I'm afraid I don't know much ballroom dancing, but I'd like to learn.

Travelling- My family has never taken many vacations, but I enjoy going on trips, whether they are just for the day or an extended stay.

Cosmetology- I know it's my vocation, but I really do love fixing people's hair! Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to cut hair, and it's so much fun fixing friends' hair for weddings and dances.

I am a non-smoker
I rarely drink
Technical training
I would like to have children one day.
I was born, baptized, and brought up a TULIP believing, conservative, good Presbyterian. I am far from perfect, and my life is not as Christ-centered as I know it should be, but God is gracious in giving me parents who will both tell me where I have erred and encourage me, and in placing me in a church where the Word is preached faithfully and applied to life.
I am thankful that my salvation does not rely on my "goodness" and my works, but upon an almighty God who loves me and will "perfect that which concerneth me".
I pray every morning, and usually last thing at night, too. I am currently reading through the Old Testament, and my church puts out a monthly lectionary that I try to follow.
I am partial to Hannah. What an amazing story her life was! I am glad my parents named me after her.
I am embracing my life as a single right now. I have an incredible family and a great church, and I enjoy my work. But, I am eagerly looking forward to meeting and marrying an godly man and starting a family of my own. I am learning to trust God's timing.

Perky

Meticulous

Honest

Committed

I am very thankful for the family and friends God has surrounded me with and the great times we have together.

I can't live without music, whether it's listening to a good CD or the radio (or a record album!), or playing piano, or singing.

I am glad for work, the ability to do it, and to do it well, whether it be cleaning around the house, or doing a haircut, or cooking, or whatever.

I like people who love life, are kind, humble, and thoughtful, and aren't crude.

More specifically, I appreciate men with passion and conviction that leads to action, whether it's in religion, or work, or just making everyday decisions. My sister and I used to come up with lists of the "perfect men" that our future husbands must be like. Sir Percy Blakeny, Mr. Thornton, Mr. Darcy, Aragorn... But really, I just want to marry a guy who's a commited Christian and enjoys living the life God has given him. And if he loves music and enjoys dancing (or at least doesn't mind trying!) those would be definite points in his favor!

I am a people-person. I'm not the life of the party, and I've never been part of an inner circle, but I love having long conversations with friends, and hanging out with people. I seem to be the kind of person that friends and strangers just open up to and tell all their problems and life stories to! I like serving people and making them happy.

There are different ways and different levels in which people are influences in one's life.

On a spiritual level, I'd have to say Dr. R.C. Sproul, Jr. I have been blessed to sit under his teaching for many Bible studies and homeschool classes, and to have had him as an elder in my church.

On a completely different plane, my sister Jennifer was a huge impact on me musically. She was a teenager in the '80s and listened to classic Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith. When it came time for her to upgrade her albums to CDs, she passed on her old cassettes to me and my other sister. Through the years Jennifer has helped me expand my musical horizons, first with dcTalk, later with U2 and Collective Soul, and I've had the fun of introducing her to a few albums, too. (She and her kids absolutely love the "Tru-Dog" tracks on the tobyMac albums!)

Twice in the last couple years I was in almost-courtships that were based only on theological alikeness. I have learned that a real friendship has to be in place between a couple before there's any chance for love to grow.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33

So if I stand, let me stand on the promise that You will pull me through

And if I can't, let me fall on the grace that first brought me to You

And if I sing, let me sing for the joy that has born in me these songs

And if I weep, let it be as a man who is longing for his home

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in order like they should be.

Um, I've been turned into a cow... Can I go home?

I went through cosmetology school about 7 years ago, and am now licensed in VA and TN. Most of my clients are people from church, and I go to their homes, or they come to my kitchen. I've tried working in a few small salons, but I'm much happier being a free-lance travelling beautician. Ever since I was really little, I wanted to cut hair, and I love it.

I have done the grocery shopping and other errand-running for a couple of families at my church. I have become quite accomplished in the art of packing a grocery cart filled with food for a family of 12, and most of the workers at Kroger recognize me!

I worked about 6 months as a waitress this past year at an Italian restaurant called Figaredo's. The reason I'm no longer there is they decided to close the lunch service (my shift) for the fall and winter months. I really enjoyed my job there, and all the people were great to work with.

Occasionally I'll do some babysitting. I've also had housecleaning jobs, which I haven't cared for. I've been hired to make and decorate cakes for special occasions.

I desire to be a help meet for a Godly man. I hope to grow to be a righteous woman who shows more and more of the Fruit of the Spirit. I want to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my children (as many as God sees fit to give my husband and me, with adoption being a possibility) and raise them up to be strong Christian warriors. At the end of my life, I hope to hear the words "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Usually at the end of the day I enjoy a TV show or movie. I love getting together with friends to watch a movie, play games, or just talk. Volleyball and cookouts are fun in the summer. I like to read, and sometimes I just have to sit down and play the piano for awhile! I like to have a craft going that I'll work on occasionally, and I really enjoy cooking. I love going to really great concerts, like tobyMac or Coyote Run.

I have lived my whole life in Southwest VA. My family moved from Bristol to the country when I was 8. I've never traveled outside of the States. I've gone as far West as OK, North to IN, and South to AL.
I am the 4th of 6 kids. My older brother and two sisters are married, and my two younger adopted brothers and I still live at home. The last 4 of us were homeschooled. My dad and one brother-in-law are elders at my church. My family all gets along really well, and we'd all love to live here in Mendota and attend St. Peter Church, but my brother's in OK, and one sister lives in WV. So, even though it would difficult to leave my family and church, it's not entirely out of the question.

I believe in paedobaptism, and my church practices paedocommunion. I will submit to my husband's decision on when our children will partake at the Table. I also follow the Covenant Renewal form of worship. I do not wear a head covering.

I love frogs, lizards, turtles, and dragonflies. I have an owl collection, but it's packed right now. I like lava lamps, glow-in-the-dark stuff, and fireworks. I find great joy in finding a cute pair of shoes for a great price. I keep collecting skirts, even though I'm most comfortable in a pair of jeans. I'm not a health freak, but I walk and do Pilates faithfully, and try to eat in a mostly healthy manner. I am mostly an indoor person, but I enjoy a long walk or a picnic on a glorious day (if there aren't any bugs!). I'm really the happiest cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. I enjoy helping people, and I like having a flexible schedule to accomodate that. I love organizing and straightening, and sometimes cleaning can be very enjoyable.
