When I was a child I walked the aisle over and over again calling out to Christ and grew to an adult thinking I knew Him. When I was 28 the Lord laid His hand upon me and opened my eyes and ears to the truth of His Holy Word and called me to be His. My walk with Him today is by faith which is also a gift from Him alone.
If not for the grace of God I would be walking in darkness and for that I can never express enough gratitude. I remember the darkness He called me out of only too clearly.
Now we spend our quiet time reading the Bible every day and going through various Christian books about family and raising children.
Christ of course. Without Him the rest would mean nothing. As for the background characters I would have to say Abigail and Naomi. A wife willing to sacrafice her life for her husband and family and a mother-in-law so loving and kind that her daughter-in-law chose God's people over her own. Favorite historical character: Idelette, John Calvin's wife. Favorite fictional character: Katrina, the shrew from "The Taming of the Shrew" (the woman she came to be once her eyes were open).
I am content to be where the Lord has chosen for me to be and look forward to where He is taking me.
Friends, employers and co-workers say that I am diligent, hard working, longsuffering and patient. But don't ask my children they know the truth. :o)
The will of God in serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by serving my husbnad and teaching and training my children to walk in His ways.
That I belong, body and soul, in life and in death, not to myself but to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ; that He protects me so well that without the will of my Father in heaven not a hair can fall from my head and that He makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.
A person who shows devotion to the truth of God's Holy Word, desires to bring joy to the lives of others and has a great sense of humor. As for my personality traits ... they include devotion to God's Word and being a dedicated wife, mother and teacher but I am afraid my sense of humor is lacking.
Christ first and foremost but also my husband Anthony Cannone Jr., James Rose, and Chris Hoops.
After the death of my husband I remarried with pre-marital counsel and believed that I was getting married to a believer but it turned out that he just had all the right answers and chose to leave when I was seven months pregnant with his son. After multiple marriages I waited 12 years before even beginning a relationship and even then, waited for our pastors to give consent for us to move forward in the relationship and required that Anthony get my phone number from my pastor. Praise the Lord for in Him we are more than conquerers and He has done a beautiful thing. The lesson that I have learned from all of my mistakes is that waiting on the Lord and trying to build our relationship in obedience to His Holy Word is the greatest blessing I have ever known. "God Will Make a Way", "Trust and obey", "All is well with my soul", "This is the day the Lord has made", I could go on and on ... Romans 8:28 "All things work together for good for those who are called..." There are just too many to mention them all.
Since 1979 I have worked in printing, publishing and advertising. For 3 years I worked for R.J. Rushdoony as the typesetter for the Chalcedon Report. I am now a dedicated wife and home school mom. I love my work, past and present..
To bring glory and honor to the Lord.
Now we spend our leisure time reading the Bible every day and going through various Christian books about family and raising children.
Born and raised in Dallas Texas. Lived in Southern California for 10 years. Tried Oregon and Washington state for a couple years each. Back to Texas for a little over 12 years. Now in St. George Utah to stay with my beloved.
Five grown children, and most of my relatives all being in the Dallas area might be a reason to stay or a reason to move :o) My church famiily is very special to me as well but I want to be where the Lord would have me be. Must be that He wants me in Utah ;o)
I have found someone to enjoy new things with.
I have found the man that God has chosen to lead our family with the Word of God as his standard! My desire is to glorify the Lord and enjoy Him forever in whatever place He has chosen for me to be in. "Thy husband is thy lord, thy life, thy keeper, Thy head, thy sovereign; one that cares for thee, And for thy maintenance commits his body To painful labour both by sea and land, To watch the night in storms, the day in cold, Whilst thou liest warm at home, secure and safe; And craves no other tribute at thy hands But love, fair looks and true obedience; Too little payment for so great a debt. Such duty as the subject owes the prince Even such a woman oweth to her husband; My hand is ready; may it do him ease." Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" Updated 11/10/07 - password "idelette"
