My interests are as follows: Becoming more like Christ. I desire this very much, and I know I'm not very far along. I need godly counseand fellowship as I grow, so if anyone gets to know me well enough to exhort or encourage, feel free! I LOVE to learn. In every situation, in every facet. God created such a beautiful world, with such diverse people... and I love to people watch and just take in the glimpses of his beauty in people and creation. Even more so- we were created to worship, and we are to worship Him. As Tozer and Piper and Edwards (and probalby many more) said- God's greatest gift to US is himself. That is the greatest inheritance...to be reconciled and in fellowship with God through Christ!! And we will be learning about God through Christ for eternity. Never can exhaust that one. I love to read... in beauty and the beast- that library was AMAZING!!! It's probably the only thing I'd count myself materialistic about... books!!!! I love visiting bookstores and libraries just to be in the atmosphere and enjoy all the available information and knowledge and art surrounding me! I mostly read theology and christian inspiration type books. Some of my favorites authors are: AW Tozer, John Piper, CS Lewis, Jonathan Edwards. I also read quite a bit of educational/ministry/psychology books... how people learn and what motivates their development is intruiging to me. Finally, I do read some fiction (though not as much- it has to be really quality for me to enjoy it, or I get bored) Also I like to watch movies! But...I don't like the pooper scooper movies put out with sex and a lot of swearing in them... it really just ruins the story. I also don't like a lot of the "christianese" movies out there...because the fluffy theology and/or terrible quality ruins it. Not a lot of quality out there sadly. My favorite types of movies are the ones that really make me think... and then I'll invite friends over to watch the movie and we'll watch it and compare our thoughts of the movie and the biblical worldview :) |

Elisabeth Elliot is one of my FAVORITE authors. In one of her books, she talks about the different seasons of life. Whatever season your'e in...that's what you're called to be. So right now, I am in fact in the season of singleness. How long will that be? I don't know. When (if) I'm married...i'll be in the season of marriage... etc We can only live life one day at a time...hoping in God's future grace (not living passively either of course) That was my ambiguous answer to this quesiton. Now for my down-to--earth answer... I don't know if i'm content being single. I've grown to be pretty cautious when it comes to relationship boundaries. That being said, I don't think I'm actually on this site with the intention of meeting a spouse, as much as I am enjoying just getting to know people- guys and girls- who appreciate the sovereignty of God and supremacy of Christ. I've make enough relationship mistakes in the past, to want to be VERY careful...in how I interact with guys. Even the attitude I use when talking to guys (being flirty, engaging in appropriate conversation, etc) are things that are often on my mind. Also, I am convinced that physical contact should probably be kept at a minimum before marriage. Guys and girls know if they're attracted to each other. The more they save for marriage, the more they'll appreciate it. I will succumb to the fact that different people have different limits...but I really don't think kissing should happen before marriage... anything there and father is too much. I love making friends. But I'm also not out to make a million new best friends, so don't be offended if I can't get back to you or talk every day! But I will do my best to maintain touch with people who wish to be encouraged, or encourage me! |

Family: I love them. Ask me if you want to know more :)
Relocating: I want to say, whatever God wills, like a good calvinist. But also, I think I hope to relocate a few times in my life... I enjoy being new places and learning new things/about new people. |
