Jesus began drawing me to Himself in 1989 (mid 20's). I made a profession of faith in 1990, but looking back on it, the unbiblical teaching (easy believism), I was under, and a sinful marriage/divorce from 1994-1995 revealed my own sinful self had not truly been regenerated. More instruction and corrective steps were needed for me to be awakened and the Lord was merciful in doing just that in 1999. I am encouraged where my walk is now, as everyday the Lord has been faithful in reproving me, and humbling me to make me more like His Son. It is still a battle |

The doctrines of grace are always before me and far beyond what I can comprehend. Over the past 20 years I would say the more I understand the doctrines of grace the more in awe of God I am. They give me hope and assurance that God chose me because I never would have chosen Him. |

Yes living alone I have lots of quiet time. As the New Year has begun I am re-reading the whole Bible starting in the book of Genesis. as well as, daily devotionals in Proverbs. I am also listening to some on-line sermons on sermon audio. |

Other than Jesus, I guess King David. He was both a musician and a warrior, which I can relate to. Also his life was about worshiping God, and yet he commited some very heinous sins that made him human, and displays what real Christianity looks like. He went from being a shepherd boy to eventually being a king, to having a mighty fall and being mocked and scorned by his own nation, and family. Yet in spite of all this David's passion for God never wavered. |

I have been 'single' since 1996 when my ill-advised marriage collapsed. Only in 2003 did I nearly remarry, but providentially God broke that up and I praise Him for that. I am content being single, but its hard, and obviously I wouldn't be on this site if I was 100% content in being single. I don't believe God wired me for singleness, but you never know. |

Humor (witty) definitely. Caring. A people person, socially outgoing.... Friendly. And I guess Generous. |

Right now I am most passionate about getting more passionate about knowing God as our redemption 'draws nigh.' |

God's incredible and abundant mercies! The gift of Christ. The gift of life. My church. |

Affectionate. Playful. Romantic. Someone who has a gentle and hospitable personality.. Someone who can cook. lol. . I love home cooked meals. Someone to challenge me spiritually and to push me to give God my all.. It's easy to get slothful when you live alone and your only responsibility is work. |

Sadly my parents were NOT the most influential people in my life. Though they did posses and display some characteristics that were profitale.. My mother died of breast cancer when I was 24, and my dad was a work-a-holic and money was truly his god. I love him dearly, and respect him very much. He is approaching the end of his life. I am saddened that we never were close, Without question, other than Jesus Christ, my former pastor from Arkansas had the greatest impact on me. |

Previous relationship? What's that? lol. I have not been in a serious relationship since 2003 (as I mentioned above), and that lasted 6 months. I think not being equally yoked was what led to our break up. Before that I had a very brief marriage in 1995, (as also mentioned above) to a professing Christian woman. The marriage only lasted 8 months before she left me for another man. A month after our divorce was final, she was remarried to the man she had been cheating on me with.I will leave it at that because there were too many other ugly things that happened. I have not had a recent break up in a relationship that I could share learning from or growing from. |

Its much easier to sell a lie than to give away the truth. ~? A wise man learns from a fool's mistakes. ~? |

My current job is not glamourous, or prestigious in the eyes of the world, or maybe to a potential spouse. Yet I am so blessed and grateful to God that I even have a job. I am a Barista at a Starbucks and have been doing that for 3 years, and enjoy it very much. Its a mission field like all jobs are, and by God's grace I try to do all that I can at work to glorify Him. Prior to that, I spent many years in the airline industry (20 to be exact) before the airlines began scaling back on jobs, and farmed out my position for cheaper labor. Yet God has taught me, that though I am making less money now than15 years ago, He has provided far more than I need. i.e. a paid off home, a paid off car. |

Just to finish the race I have been called to run, and hear the words, 'Well done good and faithful servant.' |

Relocating for me, could be an option. However, right now my father is in the last days of his life with Alzheimers and I feel it prudent to spend as much time as I can with him while he is still alive, and continue ministering to him and praying for his soul. However, God can do anything, and if it is His will, I would relocate. |
