I would like to have children one day.

God drew me to Himself when I was 26, though it was a long process for me. Looking back I can see God's providence in my life preparing me to come to Christ. My walk of faith with the Lord Jesus is consistently in the right direction. Due to time constraints it is more of a walk than a run, though. I often try to encourage myself by encouraging others in the faith and serving them. Having a good church to go to every Lord's Day is a great blessing and having a pastor who shepherds the people at church is also a great blessing. Along with weekly Lord's Day services I try to attend a local men's monthly breakfast fellowship group at another church and a reformed baptist church conference on the coast once a year. I need all the grace of God that I can get.

Now I better understand the majesty of God and the grace of God in saving sinners. I think the doctrine of total depravity is not proclaimed enough. Without understanding our sinfulness we can't fully appreciate God's grace. Now I also find comfort in knowing God is always in control even though the circumstances of life I may not understand. The doctrines of grace have helped me to have a higher view of God and a lower view of myself.

Currently I am reading Charles Bridges commentary on Psalm 119 and the Poor Man's Morning and Evening Portions by Robert Hawker as daily devotionals. I was studying through Revelation but lately I have not had enough time. I have also been occasionally reading the Expository Thoughts on the Gospel of Luke by J.C. Ryle. When I have time I have been reading in the psalms out loud with the 86 year old lady that I live with.

Joseph is my favorite Bible character because of his godly example in good times and in bad times.

I am fairly content most of the time. I do try to view my singleness as a gift. As a single person I can use my time to encourage others or read good Christian books and just try to be pleasing to the Lord.

The four qualities that I thought my friends would say were loyal, gentle, good listener, and considerate. One friend said Godliness, self-discipline, consistency, and faithfulness. Another friend said reliable, honest, diligent, and clean. Apparently my other friend didn't think I was clean! :)

The importance of families

God's grace, God's word, and God's people

A trait that I value in others is being a people person because people are important. With Christians you can have good fellowship and encourage one another in the things of God, or with non Christians you can talk with them in order to share the gospel with them.

My pastor because I appreciate his godly example and his biblical wisdom. My pastor has shown to me the importance of people and communicating with them.

There is a great quote from my pastor: "he has all things who has Him Who has all things"

A memory verse from church that I really enjoyed was 2 Thessalonians 3:5, And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Psalm 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

A couple of songs I have really enjoyed lately is "Carry Me" by Amanda Le Bail and "Because I Am" by Jerry Williams.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. Psalm 32:11

When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now. In so far as I learn to love my earthly dearest at the expense of God and instead of God, I shall be moving towards the state in which I shall not love my earthly dearest at all. When first things are put first, second things are not suppressed but increased. C.S. Lewis

I work full time at a hospital and part time at a clinic as an x-ray tech. Sometimes I enjoy my work so much that you would not need to pay me to work and other times I don't enjoy it much at all. I have been an x ray tech for almost 6 years.

My first goal would be mortification of sin. I would also like to learn to play the piano someday. Unfortunately, my idea of a note is a hand written message that you give to someone. I would like to finish reading Stephen Charnock's Existence and Attributes of God someday. I have always wanted to hike the Wonderland trail around Mt. Rainier along with climbing Mt. Rainier. There are lots of hiking trails in Olympic National Park I would like to hike. I would also like to read Calvins Institutes of the Christian Religion. As far as traveling goals, I have always wanted to go to Sitka, Alaska and New Zealand. I would like to drive across the United States from ocean to ocean. I would like to go to Hawaii and somewhere else in the south Pacific perhaps the Cook Islands. I also have relatives in Hawaii that I have not met. If I have a family then someday I would like to do an extensive family trip through Europe starting in Rome and working our way north and eventually fly out of London. If the Lord ever blesses me with a wife then I would like to learn how to dance with my wife.

Hiking and backpacking. Reading books. Road biking.

In the suburbs, In a small town, On the coast, A farm/cottage in the county, A cabin in the woods

I was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I lived in that area until I moved to Oregon when I was about 20. The only time I have been over seas was when I went to Paris for a week in high school. I went to New York City for a week the summer of 2001. I like going for long scenic drives. I have never stepped foot in Canada but I did have an emergency air landing in Goose Bay, Canada, but we just landed to get more fuel and took off again without leaving the airplane. I have also been to North Dakota, Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Montana, and my favorite place in the world Washington State, especially Olympic National Park.

I don't have any blood family near me. Except for my Dad the rest of my family are not Christians. They live back in Idaho. I don't have any desire to move away from my church family.
