 Sovereign Grace Singles Newsletter #3 228 MEMBERS!! (324 Now!!! 5/31/05) May 15, 2005 Hello Again SGS Members! I'm going to make this short. There are a LOT of New Members..... 228 as of this writing AND a lot of great improvements to SGS as well! Here are a few of them: 1. Darrin, the Web designer, is creating a program where EVERY Member can create an "Event" and place into SGS. The Organizer of the Event can then invite those whom he/she wants to invite depending on geographical location, gender or "Interests". This could vary anywhere from a Conference local to you, Whitewater Rafting, a Performing Arts Event, a Fishing Trip, Bike Trip, Fly-fishing Outing or whatever you think others might be interested in. Be creative! 2. Darrin is also making a program where each Member will be notified at their personal email address when they get "Mail" on SGS. 3. I've also asked him to look into the possibility of a "Private Chat" feature where you all can "Chat" with eachother directly instead to the "Public Chat". 4. I'd like to encourage ALL of you to use the "Send a Greeting Card" feature. It's way cool and fun too. A great way to promote Sovereign Grace Singles! Check out the "Flash" Greetings especially. The Cards are diverse... from the Theological to Historical to simply strange. (I like the strange ones myself!) 5. The "Gift Shop" is being added to. If you click on a Banner Ad it will take you to some pretty cool websites! If you know of some that you would like to be added let me know and I'll see if they have such an arrangement with other websites. 6. If you go to www.Worldmag.com and look at the Banner Ads at the top of the page, you'll eventually see a SGS Banner running there occasionally in rotation with other Banners. World Mag is the PCA's Magazine and SGS is the ONLY "dating/friendship" type website they have EVER allowed to advertise there. Much of it is due, I believe, to the nature and maturity of you all, it's Members! Thanks! 7. There has been in interest expressed to have a "Chat Night" to discuss Events, Theology or another previously-determined topic. For now I think it would be great to simply use the Chat Feature and get acquainted with it and see how it goes from there. The consensus seems to be Tuesday Nights at 1900 hrs Pacific Standard Time in the US. That's West Cost in the US. IF that is difficult for Europeans and/or Australians or South Africans, let me know or we can have alternate times as well or discuss it in the Shoutbox! 8. Lastly but NOT least, when SGS begins to generate monies, Ten Percent of the proceeds will go directly to a Missions Outreach Project. There are many such needs and only a couple can be suported. Two have been of special interest and when that happens, the Missions Outreach Project recipients will be featured in a Newsletter as well. The Financial Records of this Project will be freely available upon your inquiry. I want to say a BIG "Thank you" for those of you who have been promoting SGS with your pastor and friends.
