I was 8 when I asked Jesus into my heart, however I remember the joy at hearing the Gospel message for the first time in a kindergarten Sunday school class. Unfortunately it was not a church where the necessity of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ was preached.
Grace is foundational to everything. It is by grace I have been saved through faith ... not by anything I do. And it is by grace and grace alone that I continue to be acceptable to God -- that's a challenge for a perfectionist to admit!!!
My morning routine involves a cup of coffee, and a book of a spiritual nature before I get dressed. Just finished reading a GREAT book for the umteenth time. It is a masterpiece and the world best-seller of all time entitled the Holy Bible . Will definitely have to read it again ... and again ... and again.
Priscilla -- we don't see much of her in the Bible, but what we do see is a woman totally committed to participating in the fledgling church (alongside of her husband) wherever she happened to live at any given time in her adult life. She never complains (even though I'm sure Paul's lengthy stay with them must have been a drain!), and God even used her to help mold and train at least one future church leader.
Depends on the day. I am content in knowing that it is God's perfect plan for me to be single today ... but I do desire to serve our Lord alongside the husband God has prepared/is preparing for me (assuming that His will is for me to marry eventually!) The desire to marry has grown stronger in the last couple of years, particularly as couples and families have joined my missions team. Seeing good marriages makes me realize what I'm missing!
Comments made in the past have included disciplined and organized -- boy do I have them fooled! Others mention joy and loyalty.
Being used by God for His purposes.
Other than salvation (which is a given) ... 1. Living in a country where I don't have to worry about a lack of heat or hot water in the winter. 2. The opportunity to serve our King in the extension of His kingdom. 3. Godly parents.
In someone else: Fun-loving yet knows when to be serious, smart but not overly-intellectual, down-to-earth, spiritual leader (in a potential mate), and someone whose "walk" matches his/her "talk". Mine: I am an introvert -- although I enjoy being with people (and even come across as an extrovert when with others), I need space/time alone to "recharge the batteries". I tend to be serious and perfectionistic (I have the psych tests to prove it!), but enjoy a good laugh and being a bit silly at times as well.
I have a couple of dear friends from my home church in the States who the Lord has used as living examples of godly single woman leading contented lives. They are both older than I am, and over time we have become "kindred spirits".
Last formal relationship was 19 years ago. We met at church, but after three years we grew in different directions -- the church was part of a more liberal denomination and he tended in that direction, while I started taking my walk with the Lord ever more seriously. Things kind of fizzled, and in the process the Lord called me to the mission field.

I am a missionary and have been involved in church-planting/growth/nurture in an area of the world that is very difficult to reach. I have been on the same field since 1993, and love it! It is the hardest job I've ever had, but at the same time the most rewarding. I have been involved in music ministry, women's discipleship (one-on-one and small group), singles ministry, hospitality for church activities as well as out-of-town visitors. The other 50% of my job has been administrative, assisting not only my team but also my mission board on a regional and continental level. I also participate in the local municipal band and have taken guitar lessons at the local cultural center as a way to get to know people. Have gotten into some great discussions about our Lord over the years through these community involvements.

In October 2008 I was asked to prayerfully consider resigning as a member of the church-planting team in the city in which I have been serving, and become the full-time administrative assistant to the Regional Director for Western Europe. After much prayer and consulting with trusted counselors, I formally accepted this position. In this role I help facilitate church planting throughout the sub-continent. Please pray for me, that I would be a good support to my Regional Director, and that the Lord would use me to be an encouragement to all our workers throughout Western Europe. (Current works are located in Austria, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden; we hope to open other fields in the years to come.) I will still be a missionary and still live in the same host country where I've lived the past 16 years, so I will continue to be involved in local "people" ministry as well.

Since returning to the field in March 2009, God has confirmed time and time again, that this is the job for which He has prepared me. He has also unexpectedly given me a new group of ladies to disciple -- a combination of "seasoned" Christians, baby Christians, and non-believers. It has been amazing to watch God orchestrate it all, and witness first-hand how the Gospel is changing these ladies' lives. Soli Deo Gloria!

To finish well, and hear my Savior say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
I'm a typical American -- my initial response is "Leisure time? What's that!" I do enjoy reading, cooking, going to movies, knitting/needlework, etc. I try to take the opportunity to visit other countries on vacation. And the ultimate relaxation: a hot bubble bath!
In the suburbs, In another county
Born in Iowa, have traveled to several of the states in the US, plus various countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. I love to travel -- it's one of my "job perks" .
I am blessed to have been brought up in a Christian family. I have three younger sisters, and between them they have 13 children -- all living in Iowa, where we grew up. My parents are enjoying retirement in South Carolina, and continue to be more madly in love now than they were when they married 45 years ago! Relocating? It's a way of life! I believe it is biblical for the woman to follow the man, so if He has prepared a husband for me, then He will also prepare my heart for any adjustments/relocations I may need to make in life to join him. Moving would be another whole adventure!
Reading, movies, eating out with friends, play saxophone in local municipal band
I have been purposefully vague about where I live for security reasons. Given world situation today I am uncomfortable posting too much info on the Web. I minister in a country that suffers terrorism (national terrorism from within the country, as well as major terrorist attack(s) from outside the country in recent years). So ... just think of me as your "Mystery Woman"! (Didn't mama always say that mystery works to a woman's advantage?!?!) That being said, it is not as bad as it sounds. I do not live in a closed country, nor am I under any personal threat either for my religious convictions or for being an American. The country in which I live and work has religious freedom under law, so I am not in a situation of outright persecution. However, we are always warned to be cautious ...
