How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?:	I was blessed to grow-up in a Christian home and can't remember a specific time of conversion. My faith grew a lot in college, but nothing has challenged and ultimately strengthened my faith as much as the loss of my wife. As much as I wish she were by my side today, I wouldn't want my faith to return to where it was. I know He has strengthened my faith as I daily rely on Him.
How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?:	It affects ALL of my life. I am nothing without Christ. It is humbling and awe inspiring to know that He chose me and will never leave or forsake me.
Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?:	Yes, daily. Currently progressing through scripture and spending time in prayer.
Who is your favorite Biblical Character and why?:	Job. He struggled with his circumstances and yet realized that God was and remained his friend throughout his trials. Job had to learn about God's sovereignty over and in all things...I can relate to that. I like Paul too – o wretched man that I am!
Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?:	Not really. I was happily married for 16 years and I miss the companionship and struggle often with loneliness. She was my best friend. However, I know the Lord will provide for me and I must trust in His timing, not mine.
What are four qualities your friends would attribute to you?:	Loyal, generous, trustworthy, adventurous.
What are you most passionate about?:	My family. Trying to be a godly influence and shepherd in their lives, so that I "train them up in the way they should go".
What are three things you are most thankful for?:	Salvation, family and health. This was hard to limit to 3, since we are exhorted throughout scripture to give thanks for all things and in all circumstances.
Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?:	Being on a site like this, it should go without saying, but, must have a relationship with our Savior and be someone who strives to serve Him in all things. Fun loving with a good sense of humor. Can be serious, but looks for joy in the little things...its too easy to take ourselves too seriously. Organized but still spontaneous. Honest and easy to talk with – openness between husband and wife is so important. Obviously must like children and view them as a gift from God. Mine? I plead the fifth... I'm more on the quiet side, but love to laugh and have a good time.
Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?:	There have been several, but perhaps the strongest and most current would be the former pastor of our church (we've been without a pastor for about a year). He was with me through my wife's death and met with me weekly afterwards until he retired. He still calls to check on me and has helped me through tough times, always keeping my focus on Christ and providing wise counsel.
What contributed most to your previous relationship/marriage not continuing? How long have you been on your own since this relationship and what did you learn from the experience?:	My dear wife and best friend died in January 2006. I am learning God's Amazing Love. He has provided for me (us) in so many ways it is hard to recount them all here. My broken heart is still healing, but He has provided a wonderful church family, godly friends, an awesome family and folks around the world who still pray for us. His mercies are indeed new every morning – Great is Thy Faithfulness oh Lord!
Do you have any favorite lines from movies, poems, songs, hymns or Scripture you would like to tell us about?:	“To realize the value of a friend...lose one.” Amazing Grace Great is Thy Faithfulness I could add so many more...
What type of work do/did you do? How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?:	Software engineer. For about 20 years now with experience in finance, retail and telecommunications industries. I enjoy the challenge of solving problems and creating applications.
Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?:	Trying to serve the Lord, know Him better and enjoy Him fully. Hoping and praying all my children serve the Lord too, realizing that ultimately it is His work.
How do you enjoy your leisure time? What do you do for recreation?:	What's that?! Enjoy outdoor activities and sports, like golf, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, etc. We try to do as much as possible together and I try to find an interest in each of my children to spend time with them one on one...not as often as we'd like, but as much as possible.
My ideal place to live is:	A farm/cottage in the county, A cabin in the woods, Lost in the wilderness
Where were you born and where have you traveled?:	New Jersey. Have traveled along the east coast and some southern states. My parents relocated to South Carolina shortly after my first child was born and my wife was from Alabama, so of course we spent time visiting family. We like to camp, so long distance visits always added to the adventure with stops along the way. We traveled as far west as Colorado several summers ago and would love to hit the road again.
Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?:	I have 3 and a ½ dozen wonderful children. 3 girls and 6 boys, aged 18 to 3 ½ years. Most of them have inherited my wife's musical abilities. We had homeschooled them until Shari's death and then they were enrolled into a wonderful local Christian school. We like doing things together, mostly outdoors kind of stuff. Traveling and camping has been a favorite, but we haven't strayed too far from home recently, except to visit family.

Additional Activities:	I enjoy running several times a week. Mostly for fitness and stress management - I'm not trying to compete in a marathon!
