My parents have told me that my allegiance changed at an early age, but I have no memory of the event. Throughout my life there have been times of repentance and growth, and the Holy Spirit is changing me to be more like Jesus.
Many people find the idea of a Sovereign God revolting and scary, but to me it has always been a source of comfort to know that he is working all things according to his perfect plan, from a spilled pail of milk to the latest news report.
Yes, usually in bed. I am reading through Psalms right now. (Note as of January 29, 2010: I am back in Psalms again.)
Jesus is my favorite. The whole Bible is about Him and His love for his bride. It is the most beautiful story ever!
I am content being single, and in my case it would be incredibly dense not to be! God has given me a set of parents who, though imperfect, love and wish to serve Him in every area of their lives. They have provided me with a safe place in which to learn and grow so that some day I will be prepared to, Lord willing, help my own husband.
I would have to ask them.
Loving the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, and might and my neighbor as myself. Under that heading fall many people about whom I care very much: My family, my brother, and people at various churches we have attended. I want to be a good witness to those around me, be a supportive daughter, granddaughter, and someday wife and mother.
What are three things you are most thankful for?: Hmm, things……1. The Bible 2. Our house and yard. 3. Our animals
Patience, willingness to forgive and repent, attention to the interests of others, industry, and a love for God and his law are all character and personality traits that I would like to see in others and myself. Anytime I say something nice about myself, something comes up to show how wrong I was, so I won’t bother. : )
My brother. We grew up together, and, as there were often no other children our age around, we mostly played with each other. I learned that treating people under you with respect and love does not come naturally.
For two months, I and my parents corresponded with a young man from this site, but this ended recently as we both realized that the two of us were not a good fit. The experience was pleasant, and I enjoyed getting to know both him and his family. I have never been married.
Yes, here is a favorite Bible verse: “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” Isaiah 66:2 My sister and I quote Adventures in Odyssey all the time. (“Greetings and felicitations of the season!” -Eugene) Here are some other favorite quotes apart from Odyssey: “Right? Of course right.” -Yenta in Fiddler on the Roof “You Dum-Dum.” Easter Island head in Night at the Museum “The hatching of a real hearty laugh requires the incubation of gravity.” The Light Princess by George MacDonald “That’s Eskimo” Said by Mrs. Gilbreth in the book Cheaper by the Dozen “I know it.” Because of Winn-Dixie “Neighbours, you are tedious.” Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing
When people ask this question I usually respond by saying that I am a, “Keeper at Home in Training.” Since officially graduating in 2005 from home school my schedule has been very flexible. I help my Grandpa, teach gym class for our local home school group, and recently have begun teaching basket-making classes. Jobs I do at home include cooking, cleaning, gardening, animal care, mowing, and weed-eating. I enjoy my work, and especially those things done with my family or at home.
I want to help my husband fulfill the task that God has given him, and until then to aid my parents.
When I have leisure to recreate I enjoy: knitting, crochet, sewing, spinning, watching good movies, e-mailing friends, buttering up the dog, hugging the cats, cooking, holding babies, basket weaving, taking photos, and last, but not least, reading. Games I enjoy playing with my sister or other friends include: Badminton, Soccer, Basketball, Uno, Sequence, Ping-Pong, Air hockey, and I have recently discovered pool.
A farm/cottage in the county
I was born in Orlando Florida and after that we lived in the following states: Tennessee, Alabama, and finally settled where we are now in Maryland.
My dad is from Pittsburgh, PA, and my mom grew up around Orlando, FL. I have a brother who is 20 months younger, and a sister who is 8 years younger. Most of our family does not live in our area, but even if that were not the case I would be willing to relocate, though it would of course be nice to stay close to my family.
Yes, I would like to marry a man who believes in the singing of Psalms in worship, regular family worship, infant baptism, keeping the Sabbath holy, and the home schooling of any children we may have. I do believe that it is biblically allowed to drink in moderation, but my family abstains due to a bad extended family track record with alcohol. Also, my parents have kindly and carefully reviewed my answers to this questionnaire, and will be actively involved in any correspondence or courtship process.

Created On: 01/01/2010 14:14:45 Love your profile - what an encouragement. Appreciate the dedication of both yourself and your parents to hold to such an awesome standard. PTL!
Created On: 10/18/2009 07:23:09 Anemone, I enjoyed reading your profile as well. I once wrote a short story with an "Anemone" as the heroine. Many blessings to you.
Created On: 04/04/2009 02:05:31 I appreciated your profile: it declares very gently but firmly what you believe and the overall tone seems very appropriately serious. It helped me formulate my setup as well. Your quotes however clearly show a sense of humour!
