I was raised in a Christian home and sent to Christian school. When I was seventeen, God overcame my misgivings and ambivalence, and convicted me that He is good and worthy to be praised and that I should repent of my sins and live my life in His service.

I'd say that when I started out, the key words were zeal, faith and knowledge. Along the road since then I think I've reduced my shortcomings in wisdom and understanding, but regrettably the zeal and faith have gotten battered down somewhat.

I asked a good buddy and his wife and the answer was:

sincere, pious
conscientious
reliable
intellectual

(yes, I know they overran the quota of 4; that's what friends are for!)

I rejoice to see the worldwide church developing. Newsboys' song He Reigns gives me shivers - the imagery of the songs of the redeemed rising from the African plain, drowning out the Amazon rain, of all God's children from every tribe, every tongue, every nation singing hallelujah... Amen!

I enjoy singing hymns (sometimes I go into the base chapel and sing solo accapella for an hour), running, kayaking, cycling. I like scenic hikes when I have good company to enjoy them with. On my own, I still enjoy traversing a scenic route but I wouldn't walk it, I'd run it or cycle it.

When I've got time for it, I enjoy watching football games, especially CFL and especially my hometown Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

My parents are winding down their careers as Christian school teachers/administrators. I have a sister and two brothers, all married. First nieces/nephews are due to debut in the next few months.

How do I feel about relocating? I'm in the Army so I'd better not have a problem with it. More to the point, if the Lord does bless me with a wife someday, that dear woman will have to be willing to relocate several times.
