Single- Never Married
I am a non-smoker
I would like to have children one day.
I have been blessed to be born and raised in a Christian family, so I do not know my life apart from being a Christian. When I was nineteen I did Confession of Faith in the church I grew up in and have become a member of.
I would say that Question and Answer 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism very much summarizes how the doctrine of grace has affected my life...
Q & A 1

Q. What is your only comfort
   in life and in death?

A. That I am not my own,
but belong—
body and soul,
in life and in death—
to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.

He has fully paid for all my sins with His precious blood,
and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil.
He also watches over me in such a way
that not a hair can fall from my head
without the will of my Father in heaven:
in fact, all things must work together for my salvation.

Because I belong to Him,
Christ, by his Holy Spirit,
assures me of eternal life
and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready
from now on to live for Him.

Every evening I read a portion of scripture and make brief notes on what I've read. I am also reading through Charles Spurgeon's Sermons on the Sermon on the Mount.
I have a hard time picking  who my favorite is, as  the Bible if full of inspirational men and women- David openly spoke about his triumphs and trials in his life, Paul is very passionate and direct, Ruth had a quiet and gentle spirit, etc.
I try to be, although some days are easier  than others. I do very much have the  desire to be married and raise a God-fearing family some day.
Conscientious, sensitive, personable, motivated.
Living a life of thankfulness to the Lord- to give Him honor and praise. That is, afterall, the chief end of man isn't it? I can't imagine living life without  acknowledging the Lord. I firmly believe that we need to live a life of faithfulness to God not just in words but also in our way of life. People around us should see that somehow there is something different about Christians- our lives aren't always easier than theirs, and we certainly do have trials and temptations, yet our lives must show  be different than those of non-Christians, because we have been redeemed and regenerated.
God's grace, a loving and close-knit family, good health.

I enjoy spending time with those who desire to give praise and honor to our Heavenly Father not just in their speech, but also in their walk of life. I value someone who has a strong back-bone as well as honesty, passion, sincerity and dedication in a person.

It is wonderful to be able to have a deep, heart-to-heart talk with others. A sense of humor is another welcome attribute.

My best friend whom I have known since highschool has been a wonderful blessing in my life. We have been through "thick and thin" together. I have been thankful to have such a good friend who was just like a sister to me.

Another influential person in my life has been a special pastor who also is a family friend. I have learned and benefitted much from him and have gone to to him to seek advice and counsel over the years.

Simply put, we just did not "click" together. We knew that although breaking up would involve some pain, it was still better to go our separate ways, and so we parted on good terms.

Quote: No one is saved by buying a Bible he does not use, nor is one saved by reading a Bible he does not obey.

Favorite text: Habbakuk 3:19 :

       "The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights."

I work as a dental assistant in a pediatric office. I have been in this line of work for approximately 5 years and for the most part I enjoy the work. Dentistry is always changing so there is always something new to learn.
I don't know if you could call it a "goal" but I do hope that God's plan for me includes to be married and raise a family some day.

I grew up in a close-knit family so I enjoy spending time them. I also enjoy get-togethers with friends- be it for coffee, bowling, a marshmellow roast around the campfire, etc.. As mentioned before, I also enjoy reading, cross-stitch, hiking, going for walks, photography, antiques, sightseeing and visiting historic sites, canoeing/kayaking, and shopping (yes, this is a "girl-thing"!).

I was born in the Fraser Valley, BC (Canada) and have lived here all my life. My parents immigrated to Canada from Holland before I was born but have kept up the Dutch language/traditions while I was growing up. I have been to Holland a few times to visit our extended family there and to explore the country of my heritage.
We are a small, close-knit family and spend a lot of time together, however if I had to relocate I would do so, and I know my family would support me in this.
Baking, Biking (road), Boating, Sail, Bowling, Canoe/Kayaking, Dogs, Fitness, Gardening, Hiking, Kayaking, Museums, Musical Instruments, Needlework, Photography, Picnicing, Reading, Scenic Drives, Sightseeing, Swimming, Walking
I enjoy reading literature by authors such as R.C. Sproul, J.Piper,  Rev. C. Bouwman, J.C. Ryle, Martin-Lloyd Jones, Sinclair B. Ferguson, J. Pipa, J. MacArthur, J. Beeke, etc. If you've read a worthwhile book or have a favorite author please pass it on to me... I'm always up for a good read!

I think the questionnaire covers a lot, but if you have more questions you are welcome to ask! Smile

I believe there is a Biblical warrant for infant baptism and covenental theology, and reject the Federal Vision theology. I also hold to the Three Forms of Unity (Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, Canons of Dordt) which summarize the Christian faith.

Outstanding profile! Yes, we must be careful of novel teachings which compromise justification by faith alone and make covenant heads where Christ has not asked for them. Hooray for the URC! Blessings to you!!

Hi! I see that you play piano and organ. So do I. There are not very many people who learn the organ anymore, but I think it is such a fun intrument to play - what other intrument do you get to play with your feet!
