I was 13yrs old when I asked Christ to come into my heart and to cleanse it. I was at that time a Contemporary Christian. When I was 16 yrs old my family started to attend a reformed church, at this church we were taught the reformed theology. At this time I rededicated my life to Christ, seeking to become a godly woman. My Dad had my siblings and I study the Westminster Shorter Catechism growing up and it was during this study that my eyes were opened to God's sovereignty, this study also deepened my faith and established a firm foundation on reformed doctorine in me. Currently I am continually seeking after God to deepen my relationship with him, I also strive to live my life as mandating in Scripture.
The Doctrine of Grace has affected my life by releasing me from the responsibility of salvation of others. Through the Doctrine of Grace a Christian needs to speak God's word, life a godly example, and let the Holy Spirit regenerate the hearts of others.
During my quiet time with God I have been studying the book of Genesis. As I study the word of God I am always learning something new and come away encouraged.
Esther is my favorite Biblical character because she shows the qualities of godliness, humility, strength, submission, and boldness. I hope to be a woman such as Esther,a woman who is humble, feminine, submissive, and yet strong and bold, willing to stand up for the truth.
I enjoy being a single adult daughter in my father's home, I enjoy serving my family, ministering to others, and developing friendships during my single years. However, I am called by God to get married and to be a help meet to a man in any capacity that is needed and to be the mother of his children.
1.) Spirit of giving 2.) Kindness 3.) Loving 4.) Friendly
I am passionate about godly femininity, reformed theology, and Biblical living.
I am the most thankful for the following; 1.) That God chose me to be one of his elect. 2.) God's unmerited grace and mercy unto me which I do not deserve. 3.)The way in which God has worked in my life by divinely orchestrating every area in my life, God is good.
Character/personality traits that I enjoy in others are friendliness, humility, loyalty, integrity, outgoing, genuine, truthfulness, ect. Character/personality traits that I possess are a giving spirit, friendliness, genuine, loyalty, integrity, humility ect.
The most influential person in my life besides my parents has been the head elder in my church. The head elder is a godly man and is full of wisdom which he imparts unto others. When my family first started to attend the church the head elder and his family ministered to me as I would be in their home observing them as a friend of their daughter's, I saw beauty in godly living and femininity, and I knew that this is what God had willed also for me.
I have never been in a relationship. I have committed to save my heart fully for the man whom is ordained to be my husband.
"Therefore Jesus called unto him, and said, ye know that the lords of the Gentiles have domination over them, and they that are great, exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you, let him be your servant. And whosoever will be chief among you,let him be your servant. Even as the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve and to give him life for the ransom of many." -Matthew 20:25-28 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." -Matthew 22:37-39 "Do not keep a alabaster box of your love sealed up until your loved ones are dead, Fill their lives with sweetness. Speak approving, cheering words while their ears can hear them, and while their hearts can be thrilled and made much happier. The kind things you mean to say when they are gone--say before they go." -Adapted from a poem by G.W. Childs "May the mind of Christ my Savior live in me from day to day, by his love and power controlling all I do and say (vs.1) May the Word of God dwell richly in my heart from hour to hour, so that all may see I triumph only through his power (vs.2) May the love of Jesus fill me as the waters fill the sea; him exalting, self abasing, this is victory. (vs.4)" -Exerpts from "May the Mind of Christ My Savior" Hymn
I am currently employed in the health care field as an Optician. In my current capacity as a Optician I pre-screen patients in for the Optometrist, I order merchandise and custom made orders, I help patients to pick out eyeglasses and order them, I answer the telephone,I schedule appointments, I teach patients how to insert contact lenses and how to take them out, I fix broken glasses, ect. I am also registered as a Pharmacy Technician, I fill-in as needed in the pharmacy . I have been at both occupations for four years and I enjoy them. Both of my occupations are only temporary as when I marry I hope to be a full-time help meet to my husband in the capacity needed and to be a mother to his children.
My life long goals are to 1.) Glorify God and enjoy him forever 2.) To be a help meet to my husband in any capacity as needed. Also, to be a mother to his children and to raise them together to have a mutli-generational vision, to glorify God.
I enjoy reading, kyaking, going on walks, writing, socializing, cleaning and organizing, watching movies, going to the theature, playing the piano, singing, ect.
I was born and bred in Minnesota. I have traveled to Canada, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Missouri, and I will be going to Pennsylvania to visit a dear friend in June!
Both of my parents are wonderful godly people, they are self-less and sacrafice for their children which is very much appreciated, they also ensure that they spend quality time with their children. I am the eldest of four children. My sister who is 18 months younger than I relocated to a city one hour away. My brothers whom are four and five years younger than I are both attending college, one is in state, the other out of state. I enjoy my siblings and building relationships with them. I am willing and open to move wherever God calls my husband and I to be, his home will be my home and my home will be is. Home is truly where the heart is, it is not a location.
Reenactment
The following is what I desire in a man, I do understand that sanctification is a life long process and that we are only human. What I desire in a relationship is as follows; 1.) A man who is committed to growing in his relationship with the Lord daily. 2.)A man who has obvious integrity and honesty. 3.) A man who is able to lead boldly, but not overbearing. 4.) A man who displays his ability to love sacrificially. In other words, willing to serve others before self. 5.) A man who has a good sense of humor, able to laugh at himself. 6.) Models genuine humility, not stuck on himself.
