the reformed faith, my walk with Christ, spending time with my family and friends, my job ( i am a pediatric nurse), learning how to be a better nurse, reading (scripture, novels, nursing books), cooking, baking, getting exercise, baseball games, movies, warm weather, i LOVE music and like a wide variety of it- hymns, some christian, pop-ish country, soft rock and alternative, classic rock and a bit of oldies too when I'm in the mood!

I was raised in a strong Christian family. My parents have always taught my brother and I from a Calvinistic perspective, but I did not come to fully appreciate or understand the reformed faith until late high school. There have been ups and downs in my walk as all believers have but by God's grace He has continually helped me to grow in wisdom and faith. Every day I see more how undeserving I am of His mercy to me, and I strive to grow more in maturity and grace each day with His strength.

I am so thankful that Christ chose me to be one of His own! It is amazing that a Holy God would choose a filthy sinner like me to save! I am most thankful for my faith and the faith of my parents in guiding me spiritually as I was growing up. I am also thankful that God has blessed me with a job that I enjoy and that provides for my needs. There are so many more but these are the top blessings in my life :)
In a man, I am looking for someone who is ready to be a spiritual leader for his household and thus a strong believer. I want to find someone that I can pray and read scripture with, and someone who will try to guide me in my faith as best as he can. Also I would like to find a man who is not idealistic and realizes that dating and marriage is not easy and no girl is perfect! These are by far the traits I am most looking for in a mate.
I work on a general pediatric and pediatric cardiac floor. I care for alot of infants and younger children born with heart defects and other serious conditions. Some days are rough- many of my patients are from broken or unsupportive families. It can be very draining but I am so blessed to be where I am- I have a wonderful boss and group of nurses to work with. I can honestly say that while I don't like every single thing about my job, I do LOVE my job ;)
Ultimately I would love to get married and become a full time mom! I have not traveled much outside of the US and would like the opportunity to do so, for leisure and for missions work. I would like to earn my CPN (certification in pediatric nursing) and learn to speak Spanish well to communicate with many of the children/families I care for.

My immediate family is small since I have just one sibling, a younger brother. Due to my dad's job we moved frequently when I was growing up. I can't say that I can really call anywhere home. My parents currently live about 12 hours from Chicago, where my brother and I went to college and now reside. I am open to meeting someone far away and I would not mind relocating at all.
