How old were you when you were drawn to Christ and how is your Christian walk these days?:	I grew up in a very active and committed Presbyterian home and the son of a Pres. minister and seminary professor. I spent a lot of time in the seminary library while my Dad worked on Saturdays and read a lot of stuff most wouldn't even know about. I've grown up always accepting the Gospel by the teaching and example of my parents and extended family. I've recently joined a PCA church seeking to grow within a conservative Reformed fellowship.
How have the Doctrines of Grace changed or affected your life?:	Understanding that my faith began with and will be finished by God has led to a peace that I know I would not find elsewhere.
Do you have a "Quiet Time?" What are you studying?:	I spend some time each day but at irregular times in Scripture and as much Reformed literature as I can gen my hands on.
Are you content being single? Why? If not, why?:	I am content being where God has put me. I'm open to most any challenge He puts before me, even another go at marriage.
What are you most passionate about?:	Theology, apologetics, sports and politics. As they say, those are not great for conversations at social gatherings, so I prefer small groups of mostly like-minded folks.
What are three things you are most thankful for?:	My Lord saving me. My parents who adopted me out of innercity Chicago. My two daughters who've grown up to be strong Christian ladies. They're the two gals in the photos in my album.
Describe the character and personality traits you enjoy in another person? What are yours?:	Intellectual and ability to be confident in themselves.
Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and how?:	My pastor and the other men of the church my family attended for their teaching me and keeping a firm hand on my life.
What contributed most to your previous relationship/marriage not continuing? How long have you been on your own since this relationship and what did you learn from the experience?:	My ex would not accept God's way for our marriage. Everything was measured by her feelings of the moment. We could not find the common ground on which to stand. The divorce was final in 2003. I knew going into the marriage we didn't agree on some things like that, but I thought that we would be able to grow together. The marriage did last 27 years until the youngest daughter was over 18. It was then when there were no custody issues that my ex called it quits. I take peace in the definition of God's purpose for marriage in Malachi being Godly offspring. Biggest lesson is to agree on a common path first and marry later.
What type of work do/did you do? How long have you been/were you in that line of work? Do/you enjoy it?:	I'm mostly retired. I do substitute teaching for a couple of school districts.
Do you have any life-long goals? What are they?:	Occupy until He comes.

Where were you born and where have you traveled?:	I was born in Chicago and was adopted at the age of nine months. I spent most of my growing up years in Pittsburgh, PA. I went to college in central Ohio. I've lived in the Florida panhandle, Thailand, and Colorado. I've travelled to England, Scotland, and Thailand. I've been in or travelled through all but four of the states.
Tell us about your family. How do you feel about relocating?:	I have two grown daughters with whom I am very close. The older one, Katie, just got married last summer. Her sister Kristy lives with her and her husband and somethimes with me. I'm open to relocating but not enthusiastic about it. Colorado has really grown on me. I like the change of seasons. Those changes are frequent and can almost be experienced all in the same day or week, it seems. As indicated by the long list of places to live, It's not about the where but, in the end, it's the who when it comes to home.
