| For most of my life I was quite selfish (actually I still am sometimes). I was also good at deceiving myself (not a good combination). It wasn't until high school that for some reason, (only the Lord knows) I started reading the Bible on a daily basis. After that God slowly convicted me more and more (it took a few years!), I came to the point where I knew I had to decide. It was then that God effectually called me and I was free. Since then, He has patiently and consistently showing me what I've needed to change to live the way He wants. I am so blessed to be able to have God's rod and staff prod me to be more like Christ. | |
| The cost for believing these doctrines is greater than I could have expected, but the reward is much greater. It is what started me down the path to finding a new church, and He provided one gracuously. But beyond that, it has really helped me see God's grace in a much brighter light. Total depravity not only connects with Scripture, but it resonnates with my own experience (not that experience is needed to validate God's Word). It truly shows that God deserves all the glory. | |
| Abraham, simply because he believed God and showed his belief in Him by doing really difficult things like leaving his home to permanently live somewhere else, trust his wife would bear a son at a very old age, and even be willing to kill his own son when God commanded it. | |
| I trust in God's sovereignty and providence, that He would not put His children through something they cannot handle, but at the same time I think that if someone is gifted by God to marry, and he/she is ready (of age and wise/understanding enough), then that person should at least try to get married so as to be a good steward of the gift God has given (1 Cor. 7:7). | |

| The Bible, a solid church, and Jesus Christ... and His provision. :) |

| I would like a prudent wife who fears the Lord above all. In terms of preferences, generally someone who is outgoing would be nice and encouraging/sweet . My traits would include being the things mentioned above and also nice, thoughtful (just going off what others say), and helpful. Personality-wise I'm a bit introverted, serious (though I do joke around also), organizational, inquisitive, and simple (which can be good or bad I suppose). | |
| It seems to me (from past relationships I've had) that in order for a marriage to work, the two people have to be godly, likeminded, and both be willing to marry and have children. This means for the man to lead and love his family, and teach them God's Word. For the woman, I take it to mean helping the man in his calling, being a keeper at home, and loving her family. | |
| I have been working full-time as a meter reader for PG&E, a utilities company, over two years now. I do enjoy it. | |
| To serve in the church, to minister to a family, and to work well in whatever occupation the Lord would have for me, all to His glory. | |
| Sleeping is nice. But seriously, I do like watching movies, reading (theology and biographies mostly), biking, playing board games, meeting new people, and other things. | |
| I wouldn't mind relocating if it is wise, which I think would at least include having some sort of ministry equivalent or greater than what I have here (currently I'm a deacon and gainfully employed). It's something that would be dependent on many factors, but the Lord is Sovereign and I am open to it. | |

I currently serve as a deacon at my church and have been in that role since June 2009. It has been difficult but very rewarding, as the Scriptures say it is. |
