Sovereign Grace Singles Newsletter Issue #1 March 6, 2005 Hello Members of SGS!! This is the first of an occasional Newsletter that I will be sending out to keep in touch with you but not to annoy. (we already get enough unsolicited emails). With each one I hope to improve not only the Newsletter and it's content, but also my service to you as Owner of Sovereign Grace Singles. I hope you are enjoying YOUR website and I hope you feel as though it is. Several of you have made suggestions and I really appreciate it. Some changes have been made and other changes/additions will follow as monies allow. As some of you might have already noticed, I have had placed in the Membership Application Process the reading of a Doctrinal Statement and the definitions of he Reformed meanings of the terms "Reformed", "Evangelical" and "Church". As some of you mentioned, without this addition, SGS would be little different from other "Christian" dating sites and not "Reformed" as I have intended. Thank you for your input on SGS!! I want to encourage you to look at "Events" occasionally and also would like to invite you to organize one of your own! If there is something you would like to see, let me know! Make a proposal and email it to me. It need not be anything big, just something you would like to tell others about such as a Conference or Concert. Or perhaps you would like to get a group of Reformed friends together for a bike ride, visit to a museum or skiing perhaps. You name it, give me the details and I'll get it done! So far, a SGS Cruise in coordination with Sovereign Cruises is planned for... August 29-September 5, 2005
One exciting event planned during the day spent at Juneau is a 1/2 day fishing trip for Pacific Salmon! There will be plenty of time for sightseeing in Juneau the rest of the day before departure in the evening for the next port-of-call. I'm also working on a "Chat" capability as several of you have requested. The "Shoutbox" is being used so much is only seemed logical! I hope it will be "launched" within a few weeks. I'd also like to encourage you to use the "Send a Greeting Card" Feature on the left handside "bar" once you log in. And don't forget to watch the development "News & Events" section of the "bar" at the top of the site too:
Lastly, I've been working on getting some Affiliate Links to get some good stuff on the "Gifts" section of SGS.... not just "Gifts" but good Reformed Books and possibly some Reformed T-Shirts as well. I'm also tryin' to get the requisite flowers and maybe "Vermont Teddy Bears" too. I want to sincerely thank you for being members of SGS. I'm havin' fun and I hope you are too. I'm hoping to increase dramatically the numbers of members for you as well as enhancing the site. Please be patient while I work for you! Dean
