I have a wide variety of interests, but the main ones are to glorify God and enjoy Him forever, spiritual growth (in knowledge, love and obedience toward God) and soaking in Scripture until my fingertips wrinkle, all things involving my family, discipling women, Reformed theology, Calvin's commentaries, snorkeling (which I don't get to do very often but enjoy immensely), traveling to new places to explore, photography, training and having fun with my dogs, music and words. I'm also very interested in how things work, gardening, cooking, reading, movies, and to sum it all up - learning. |

In retrospect, God began some tender tuggings at my heart when I was 13 and my older brother shared the Gospel with me. I was more conscious of God in my life after that. But when I was 22 I attended a women's talk which was given by a woman from Campus Crusade for Christ. She spoke directly to my culture-fed concerns of finding fulfillment as a woman. The Lord opened the eyes of my heart to see that fulfillment is truly found in relationship with Him through Christ. I prayed en masse for the forgiveness of my sins and professed my faith in Christ's atoning death. I felt lighter afterwards and in the weeks and months that followed I began growing. I thank God that I can say my walk is consistently close with Him now. Between 1976 and now there has been a lot of stumbling and fumbling and I've been a reluctant, rebellious sheep at times. But the Spirit would give me no relief from conviction when I strayed until he drew me back to His side. I'm the vetran of many battles and trials. I'm grateful for them, as hard on me as some of them were, because they've taught me His faithfullness and brought me so close to Him. |

Immeasurably! How can I be truly grateful for something I "chose" for myself? And how easy to judge others when they do not grow in the same things at the same rate I do? Am I the Hamburger and God the "Helper"? Never! In my relationship with God I have no place for pride - which I think is at the root of my sins - a desire to glorify myself and seeking this over the gloy of God. Grace yeilds no ground to my selfish nature. God had mercy on me in my vile rebellion against Him and my utter helplessness to change. This theme runs true from Genesis through Revelation. Under the Doctrines of Grace, Scripture fits together more perfectly, my faith is more solid and grace is more quickly and easily extended to others. God's love towards me is far more precious! |

I have a quiet time nearly every day - ususally, first thing in the morning. I think a habit of spending time apart with God, daily, is one of the most important of the Christian disciplines in walking closely and obediently with the Lord. Currently, I'm meditating on 1 Samuel and James.

Cheerful, faithful (loyal), kind and godly? I really should ask them! |

I'm most passionate about God. I love to listen to friends tell me what God has been teaching them or what they've been reading that has been encouraging their faith. I enjoy discussing theology and learning from others. I hope to glorify God in relating the ways God demonstrates His grace to me, daily. The people I connect best with also enjoy discussing these aspects (and more) of their study of and relationship with the Lord. |

I love all of "Be Thou My Vision" and "Take My Life". Thomas Moore's motto, "Do none harm", from the movie, A Man for All Seasons. "I meant what I said and I said what I meant: An elephant's faithful, one hundred percent!" (Horton Hatches the Egg by Dr. Seuss) "...in you my soul takes refuge; in theshadow of your wings I will take refuge..." (Ps 57:1b) "for You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I will sing for joy" (Ps 63:7) "steadfast love", as it refers to God's love towards His chosen people throughout Scripture! "Wait on the Lord and Be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord" How can I stop? There are so many!!

I've been a full time mother and homemaker (and wife - formerly) my entire adult life. I've enjoyed this privilege immensely! I'm considering various options for future employment at this time. |

My chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever . I'll make plans, but God often directs my steps in different ways. I want to be a godly, attractive example to my children and grandchildren of a godly woman. I'd like to see the Grand Canyon! |

I was born at Edwards Air Force Base in California. But my wonder years took place in Ohio. Outside the USA I've traveled to Japan, Ireland, Scotland, England, The Netherlands, Brussels, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. The Western European travel took place, mostly, when I lived in Austria as a teenager. Now I have a son in London, and have been able to visit several places from there. |

I love my five children very much! They are each so unique and wonderful. All of them are adults and all married but the youngest. Jennie lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and their six adopted children. Jennie teaches Suzuki in the four stringed instruments and her husband, Dan, teaches in a classical Christian school. Sam is a lawyer in London. He's married to a physician and they have a one year old boy, "Kit". Ben, his wife and three children live in Bexley, Ohio. Ben is a commercial real estate appraiser, is active in local politics and his church leadership (I know, I'm sounding rather proud, aren't I?). His wife is a full time homemaker and is from Northern Ireland. Megan and her husband, Michael, live in Idaho. They are expecting their first baby in January! Megan is excited about being a mommy - full time - and Michael is working and completing his undergrad degree in Engineering. Annie is a vivacious senior at Belhaven College (now re-named Belhaven University) in Jackson, Mississippi. She plans to get a masters in Occupational Therapy and work with children. Though I've lived in Connecticut for 25 years, I have no plans to stay. I'm open to God's direction in my life - now and in the future. |
