(FYI.... "Private Pictures" Password is "Reformed".)

I was raised in a Christian home modeling a Christian marriage. I was drawn to Christ as a young person. I attended a Baptist church and a Baptist Christian college named Cedarville University (GARB) in SW Ohio. While attending there and since, I have come to appreciate the truth and comfort of the Absolute Sovereignty of God. I now attend an Orthodox Presbyterian Church which is Reformed in it's Theology and is in the tradition of the historical, Orthodox Christian faith. I am a Calvinist.

I have been buffeted quite a bit lately but My faith remains strong and I am encouraged. His Sovereignty is my comfort at all times. I sin now more than I want but less than in the past. I have learned soooo much lately "Simply Trust and OBEY for there is NO other way to be happy in Jesus but to Trust and Obey".

Daily, in the a.m., I use my denomination's literature, "Tabletalk" and usually have two (or more) Christian books in the process of being read. I love Pilgrim's Progress and any "Reformed" literature.

Peter.... I am soooo much like Him. I fall, but He, as He did with Peter, picks me up, cleanses me, whacks me on the butt and says "You'll do better next time." He loves me REGARDLESS.

Yes. But "content" doesn't mean that I would not like to be in a wonderful, mutually fulfilling and Biblical marriage.

Honesty, Enthusiasm, Loyalty, Confidence and sometimes Arrogance. (Hey!.... "Qualities" can be negative too!)

I love the Doctrines of Grace! They changed my life. I strongly believe the FAMILY is the Fabric of Society. As it goes, so does society. I want to do my part in making our society a better place by creating a family, even if it is only a family of two, which reflects the Biblical Standards.

My Salvation, my Job and my Health.

Integrity, peace and contentedness. Joy under all circumstances. Brokenness. Humility. I desire a woman who understands the Doctrines of Sovereign Grace and who enjoys discussing things of Scripture... not only for intellectual stimulation but to speak to the deepest parts of our hearts. Theology need not be only academic.

I desire a woman who CAN live without me but doesn't WANT to and allows me to convince her NOT to! An independent woman is very attractive to me. I don't want a "needy" woman.

I would like to find a woman who seeks a mate who understands his Biblical responsibility and demands it of himself and invites accountability from his mate. I would love to show the world the incredibly exciting, passionate and breath-taking adventure it would be to create a marriage which mirrors Christ's love for HIS Bride, The Church.

My Brother in Law, a PCA Pastor. He had a great deal in my coming to learn and appreciate the Doctrines of Grace. He is a fun and Godly man (those two qualities need not be mutually exclusive) and had shown me, by example, what a wonderful Reformed Marriage and Family is like.

Unrepentant infidelity (hers). Divorce 9/99. I did not seek it. Do not marry an unbeliever, or, if they profess, let the fruit demonstrate so. Love waits. "All that glitters is not gold." I also failed in being the Spiritual leader I could/should have been. She re-married within two weeks after it was "final".

Movie Quotes: "I said it once, I'll say it again, Life moves pretty fast and if you don't stop and look around a little bit, you?re gonna miss it." -Ferris Bueller, Ferris Bueller's Day Off "If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life." Humphrey Bogart from Casablanca

Song Lyrics: "They are ONE person, they are TWO alone, they are THREE together, they are FOUR/FOR each other." (from "Helplessly Helping" by Crosby, Stills, Nash andYoung.) "Are the stars out tonight? I don't know if it's cloudy or bright 'cause Ionly have eyes for you." (I Only Have Eyes For You) "Now that we love, look at the moonless night and tell me- how do we make love stay?" (Dan Fogelberg) "What E're My God Ordains Is Right" (favorite hymn and Biblical concept)

Books: "A Severe Mercy" by Sheldon Vanauken, "The Adventure of Living" by Paul Tournier (excellent!!), "The Sovereignty of God" by A. W. Pink, "Future Grace" by John Piper (excellent!!) any Reformed author, Gary Smalley, Jay Adams and H. D. Thoreau (even though he was a Transcendentalist).

I work as a professional firefighter/paramedic. I have been doing this work for over 27 years and absolutely love it.

I also enjoy purchasing and "flipping" real-estate.

I'd like to be in a mutually fulfilling relationship within two years. (I AM as of September 17, 2006!) My career is going well and I'm on track, life is good but would like someone with whom to share it

I snow ski, snowmobile, hike, go-cart race, sail, road and mountain biking, fly-fish and fly-tie, scuba, amateur radio and a bunch of other cool stuff. Doin' this stuff is fun but actually they are vapid diversions to keep me out of trouble until I meet the woman WITH whom I can to do these things. Writing poetry is a favorite pastime of mine and one I find very cathartic. Do you write poetry?

I took private ballroom dancing lessons many years ago and would like to do it again... especially with a partner of like mind. I love to read and usually have several books going at the same time. Working out-of-doors on my home in the country is a favourite past-time.

I have a few quality friends with whom I enjoy spending time. My relationships are usually quality rather than quantity.

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting, "Wow!……What a ride!!!"

"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." Dylan Thomas

"I did not wish to take a cabin passage, but rather to go before the mast and on the deck of the world, for there I could best see the moonlight amid the mountains. I do not wish to go below now." H. D. Thoreau “I want to be thoroughly used up when I die.” George Bernard Shaw

I was born in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Dad was an Army Officer and we lived all over. I have traveled to Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean and a bit of Asia.

I love the Pac NW and my career is well established here and it would be unlikely that I would desire to relocate.

Biking (road), Biking (off-road), Boating, Sail, Bowling, Computers, Dogs, Fly Fishing, Gardening, Guitar, Ham Radio, Harmonica, Hiking, Music, Music/Vocals, Musical Instruments, Pool, Shooting, Shotgun, Skiing/Downhill, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Whitewater River Rafting

You name it!.. I'm "game"!!

Check out One Crazy Calvinist! Come join me on MySpace! I'm "One Crazy Calvinist"!! I didn't "cover" lots! ! Just ask me! ! I'm a (too) open book.

I recently come to appreciate the concept of "Courtship" rather than "dating"..... and have experienced the problems with "dating" and will not again...... "Private Pictures" Password is "Reformed".
