John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Jas 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Putting aside our political preferences can will we all join together to pray for the USA?  This country is at a crossroads the lines between good and evil are being drawn.  As followers of Christ are we willing to let the Scriptures be our guide as to  the battle between good and evil.  Our citizenship is in Heaven, yet God has seen fit to place us on earth and He has told us to occupy, as we see in this parable occupy does not mean do nothing.

Luk 19:13  And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Our brothers and sisters in England need as much support for the times ahead as we can offer.
